You want to make a paint color for a ship? Or you really want to paint a ship with a custom paint scheme?

Once you start with one, the rest will surely follow.

I just want to know which ship to custom paint

But I need help choosing which one

Okay then, I'd suggest the Quadjumper as a good place to start. It has those nice panels on the top that you can paint stripes, or symbols on as well as blaster marks or other damage. It also has a lot of little details on the sides of the engines. And since it is a Scum ship, you can get it pretty grimy using some Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade washes. No one will be put off if it looks like dookie either. Conversely, if you make it look factory new, it will stand out and look really nice. Lots of options on that one.

It is an easy ship to pry apart, if that's something you think might help when painting.

Ships I've had the most difficult time getting to my satisfaction were the X-wing & T-70. Painting between the wings can be a pain. You can take them apart if you want, but be wary. You do so at your own risk.

The Lambda is a nice, easy one too. Lots of real estate to work with. Starviper is another good one too.

The Protectorate fighter works really good as a trial as well, it has lots of flat areas that allow for variety.

Thanks I’ll try the quad just jumper

The Protectorate is the first one I worked with. Its nice and flat, no tricky places to access, not so much variety...
