So, what are we waiting for?

By NukeMaster, in Star Wars: Legion

I keep hoping to see an article when I come to this site, but I just realized I'm not sure what article I'm expecting to see. It seems early for a supplies preview article, maybe it is time for a reveal?

If a reveal what are your guesses? If there is a pattern it would be another neutral expansion.

Is anyone else eagerly awaiting an article? If so, what?

anything that isn't a trooper

We’ve seen one new objective set in the terrain pack. Can’t remember if there are more to be revealed?id like more missions to make building a deck really interest8ng.

A couple neutral expansions should be announced next, whenever we get close to the current two getting released, I think?

Also Han and Commando PVs.

The Priority Supplies deployment card mentions a "STATIONARY" unit, so Im guessing whatever is next will be a stationary unit to fully use that objective pack. Probably a turret of some sort?

It would be nice to see more neutral stuff that you can use in the game. Especially as playable units, so I think turrets would be perfect for it.

If they really want this game to take off and feel like Star Wars, I need to start seeing some droids ASAP. If keeping in the OT movies, we'll hopefully first see a probe droid. Any droid works for me, I just want to start seeing something different than normal troopers.

I mean they can always add more human troopers later, once everything that's been announced is available we'll have 6 trooper units per side (3 commanders/operative, 2 corps, 1 SF). So thats a solid number, they should diversify a little bit before releasing more basic troopers. Droids would be great to see first, maybe along with some new support vehicles.

Hopefully FFG doesnt end up not serving their kind here.

Dew backs and Tauntauns.

Droids of any type.

Some Imperial officers.

Turrets and gun emplacements.

Ewoks with gliders.

The list goes on and on ...

Chewbacca operative

Lando operative

Echo base corps

Saw's renegades special forces

Dual tauntaun riders heavy

Turret support

Director krennic commander

Inquisitor operative

Imperial fleet corps

Death troopers special forces

Dual dewback riders heavy

E-web team support

That way each faction has 3 commanders and troops, and 2 of everything else.

Saw's forces are better to take multiples of instead of the rogue one team.

The FAQ is over due. A FAQ article, or announcement, would be great.

I'm waiting to see the Operations for the Season 2 Ground Assault Kit that is supposed to be out in June....oh wait, this is June...

It's not impossible but it's rather frustrating to try and keep a community going when they all know there is official swag for events but the FLGS doesn't have it to distribute at events...

I really don't like that I'm already entering the FFG "living in the future" mindset for the game. I can already feel like I've theoried out Boba and just wish I could start testing him. Scout's seem neat, but I'm definitely more interested in adding E-Webs to my collection. It does feel to me like 1 more commander option would really complete a solid initial pool of options for the game, at least on the Imperial side.

The thing I'm most looking forward to is the HQ uplink.

If I throw it on an AT-RT with a flamethrower I can guarantee a first activation for it using 'Sorry about the mess'.

I knew it would be useful one day!

That's an amazingly good and dastardly idea. I love it!

i want another commander for the Empirewho actually gives orders to units, for an organised military it seems dumb that the Rebels have more control over their troops.

Absolutely no one. Dewbacks and Tauntauns would have been cool though. I guess they are interesting. The minis look good but I doubt we will see these hit the table very often.

As an Empire player, I know I wanted the E-WEB. It's a support unit that works wholly different than the speeder bikes, and I'm excited for it. I would like to see dewbacks and tauntauns eventually, but I think the emplacements probably add more game play variety than the riders will. We haven't seen them yet, so who really knows.

Bzzzzzt! Wrong!!

E-Web was absolutely the next thing on my wish list.

And pleased to see the 1.4 added too.

Now, Echo Base Troopers please.

Yeah, the E web is popular for sure but not the radar dish gun. Even then, I am not sure the E-web is all that good since it is so situational.

First Order and CIS armies..,

but, barring that, I want a probe droid unit. Or those new (older) gunner viper droids. Or the Imperial Sentry Droid from Rebels

Plus TIE pilots.

I think they'll see more use than you think. Yeah, they're somewhat situational, but it's up to the player to create those situations. If they don't fire a shot all game because your opponent avoided their firing arcs, then they did their job. They are meant to say "this spot ismine, take it if you dare." They won't be murderous, but they can easily punish a reckless unit.

My thought as well. If you think about many of the objective scenarios, there tend to be either 3 or 5. E-Webs will be great for making a specific objective very undesirable to capture. This either forces your opponent to engage and focus on a dangerous unit, or forces your opponent to avoid an area of a map. I expect that I will be trying to use E-webs to hold objectives close to my deployment zone, allowing me to advance with the rest of my force to more central objectives. Previously, the only real option was to hold back a unit of Stormtroopers or Snowtroopers, which really are better suited to advance.

I think you have to pair the E-webs together to get a true area denial effect. Otherwise a more versatile trooper unit can basically do the same thing and be more flexible. 5 dice and 4 health just aren't enough to replace a DLT squad. They are however cheap, so they will be a "well I only have 50 something points left, might as well" type unit.

I wouldn’t mind some more Troopers, maybe some more kneeling, Fleet Troopers hmm hmm. Death Troopers and also some more middle management types.

Would love to see another Han with his typical scoundrel clothes but maybe one for down the road. Chewbacca and the droids have to be coming plus Kenobi, yeah I know the latter may be an odd one but he is to iconic to pass by.

Wedge, Akbar, Lando, Rieekan, Tagge, Tarkin, Ozzel and Piett are also in there.

Definitely would like to see a Fringe faction introduced as well as all the usual bounty hunter faces. I think a Fringe faction would definitely fill an army void and shake up play. I also liked how WOTC SWminis allowed you to mix Fringe in with any faction. Maybe to appease the Legion purists only 25% of your army could include Fringe types?

Dash Rendar and LE-BO2D9 is also on my wish list as well as Thrawn.

Lastly would love to see the Emperor, not that he would likely grace a battlefield but want him all the same.
