CAG ad brig questions

By Vitalis, in Battlestar Galactica

Two questions just to be sure:

1. Lee Adama's CAG ability : Does launching a Viper counts as activating? So can i launch a viper/s using CAG ability? If so can i launch viper and then activate it using same CAG ability?

2. When testing to escape a brig only escaping character gives cards to the pile? So 2 from destiny deck+1 from escaping player or anyone can add cards to this? Its a normal skill check or no? Same thing for admiral quaters.

Launching a viper does count as activating one. You can indeed launch vipers using Lee's CAG ability. You can activate a viper as many times as you have activations.

The Brig and Admiral's Quarters are normal skill checks, everyone (including revealed cylons) can contribute with skill cards. Note that someone in the Brig will only be able to contribute one card (making it hard to get out).

Going by memory here as I don't have the game or anything in front of me, but doesn't Lee have an ability that reads "whenever a viper is launched, you may place yourself in it?" Could that be used if Lee were in the brig? Sickbay? It's entirely possible that the wording on the card takes care of this - in which case, just ignore me... it just isn't in front of me at the moment.

IIRC, Apollo's "Alert Viper Pilot" ability stipulates that he has to be on Galactica, but not in the brig. He can launch himself out of sickbay, since it meets both of those requirements.
