They haven’t spoiled any of the wave 1 xpacs yet have they?

By LordFajubi, in X-Wing

My thinking is this, I have been debating on 2 cores when 2.0 drops, 4 guranteed ties and 2 X’s look nice, however are there going to be any pilots in the xpacs not in the conversions? I know they said conversions negate the need for xpacs but I am just not buying that from what we have seen so far. That would mean card packs, which MANY have asked for, is the logical assumption. Therefore can we safely assume there is nothing in wave 1 not in the conversion and or starter?

The devs have said many, many times that all of the cards in the Wave 1 expacs will be in the conversion kits. And showed us the little baggie they come in when they unboxed it.

Wave 1 pilots will be in the conversion kits. The core set pilots will not be.

The T65 expac has been completed spoiled.

There has been some indication that individual waves will get small conversion kits but I don't believe it's confirmed.

They have also said that they don't want people to have to buy move ships to get the upgrade cards and pilots in future expansions in future waves.

The T-65 X-Wing expansion and the Rebel Conversion kit have both been fully spoiled. Nothing in the X-Wing expack that isn't in the convo kit.

I figured what they’d do is put a pack together that is everything minus the ship, charge 10 dollars for it and call it half price. Figure that’s part of their strategy for raising it to an even 20

They didn't go into any detail about it but the devs stated essentially this.

The devs say a lot of things, unintentionally or not, they don’t follow through on. Until I physically see contents I can not in good faith take their word as gospel.

At any rate looks good for a double core start, the extra gear is nice and there is no better way to get a x and 2 ties.

Except it will be for the whole wave rather than for a single expansion pack. It's unknown if a wave upgrade kit will cover all factions or only one.

Oh 1 my friend. FFG will milk all they can and legion has given them the play one faction on a budget bug. These games are much more affordable using only one faction and I think FFG is smart enough to see some purchases from a large group are better than a much smaller group making lot’s of purchases.

When multiple FFG employees say something explicitly, repeatedly and consistently as part of a massive marketing rollout I tend to take it as highly probable. That’s just me though.

I thought the whole thing was they "could" do "small" conversion kits IF they felt a need to but cards not in the initial conversion kits in the 2nd edition release of ships. We don't know anything because the need or not of these "wave conversion kits" isn't known. Unless the reprint Ghost in 2nd Ed. packaging will have some new thing not already in the initial launch Rebel conversion kit the whole conversation about a "wave conversion kit" is moot.

They will have. The ships when they release them will have new upgrades and pilots. There's no way they have planed every upgrade card out already such that there will be no new stuff. And we wouldn't want that. Pretty much nothing to spoil from release on-wards that way?

I guess they might make a smaller card only pack for each faction. Thought with 5 factions to deal with that may only amount to one ship per faction anyway.
