Dark and Light fate

By Mr. Brogger, in Talisman

I hope to see the Dark/Light fate rules in the next expansion... please FFG!

For those like me who can't wait to use Dark/Light fate in their game, here is something you may find fun to use. I know I will gui%C3%B1o.gif

The Dark and Light side of Talisman
Both Dark and Light fate works with the normal fate rules that are already explained in the rule book. They are different as shown below:

Light Fate
• Can be used to prevent an event.
• Can be used to ad 2 to the dice role in the Chapel.

Dark Fate
• Can be used to force another player to reroll a dice. Unless that player used a Light fate to roll the dice.
• Can be used to ad 2 to the dice role in the Graveyeard.

The Dark and Light fate is alignment based.

Good characters use Light fate.

Evil characters use Dark fate.

Neutra l characters use a mixture of Dark and Light fate. Always equal number of Dark/Light fate. When there is no equal number of fate tokens on the character, the player may chose the last fate token to be Dark or Light Fate.

What do you think if a character is good, and can use a dark fate token to change his alignment towards evil, which means that you can become first neutral gran_risa.gif

A evil character can use a light token to change his alignment towards good, so he also becomes first neutral etc

A neutral character can use one of the tokens to change his alignment towards evil or good...

it was just a idea..

Hey Velhart,

I have actually been thinking the same thing happy.gif But I could not find a simple way to do it. So to keep things simple, I decided to leave it.

The thing is also that, it should not be too easy to change alignment in the game.

Those are interesting ideas to be going on with while we wait for the official line.
