Since When Was the TIE/it called the TIE/ca?!

Do they really meet? They're in the same scene towards the end of the movie (during the map reveal), but there's no interaction between them. Yeah, it's a bit awkward, but remember this happens right after blowing the Death St Starkiller Base to pieces and loosing Han Solo and Rey leaves with Chewbacca shortly thereafter, all happening within hours or a day maybe... Lazy? Sure. Could be justified? I just tried. Seems like bad planning/scripting.

They introduce themselves to each other in the book after the map is completed. And hey, don't just take my word for it, here is the link to the Wiki that details the differences between the films and the books. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Force_Awakens_(novelization) As for time, based off of Battlefront 2, it likely would at most be hours seeing how a Tie/SF that the protagonists stole show up as the Resistance is packing their stuff to GTFO from D'Qar with them not being given even enough time to land and switch ships out due some mission we likely won't see in the game and would imply that the Resistance was already expecting the FO to show up.

They can't say that everything is canon when they continue to release material that contradicts other material, including material that comes out at the same time. Say what we will about the old EU but having it tiered would probably be for the best overall.

Now, we shall continue praising that magnificent display of Imperial might that is the TIE/ca(staña).

Absolutely.

Alex Davy tables opponents only using Tie/ca's.

oh wait, wrong thread.....

So it's bad planning, then... Thanks for the info ?

Effectively, it also is due to the writers generally being given a full script to turn into a book whereas the films generally cut stuff since I know some of the bits mentioned in the differences were actually filmed like Chewie ripping the guy's arm off, and then you have reshoots and intentions changing based off shooting and editing. Add in the fact that Rian Johnson wrote the script to TLJ before seeing the final version of TFA and it all adds up. While in some ways it is nice to get Star Wars films every year it would likely help them to have more preproduction and planning stuff out time.

Now, to Tie/Ca I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing how it does in 2.0, and it would be awesome if it could show up in a future video game. Who knows maybe we will get a new RTS game down the line and it could show up there!

I think TIE/Pu fits better. I mean the ship is(in 1.0) a steaming pile of it.

The double Punisher list has been upgraded from pupu to caca.

ca = complete ***

Surprised not to see a ship ability for the Punisher. Especially considering that the empire is the “ship ability faction”

Surprised? No. Disappointed? Yes

Thing is, with the upgrade bar divorced from the ship, the main reason it never had elite upgrades (no space left on the bar) no longer applies, so there's a good chance we'll get punishers with talents. And with the card having reload as a prerequisite, Saturation Salvo looks tailor-made for the TIE/ca.

Can you link Saturation Salvo plz?

Essentially, load up with 2-charge ordnance like proton torpedoes and you can burn your extra shots for improved chance of hitting elusive targets.

A very nice pairing with Homing Missiles

Because if you fire homing missiles at someone and they don't just accept their 'one free hit', you can punish them by dropping both homing missile charges into the salvo and forcing them to reroll their evades (and focuses if appropriate), meaning they're likely to take far more than just one damage....

They should really be called TIE/pa.

Because phat ***. I mean, just look at the thing.

Isn't the TIE Bomber codenamed TIE/sa? Perhaps "sa" stands for something,

I always thought /sa was for Special Armament, but I cannot now find where I got that from. /ca might be Complete Armament?
