I know that they were giving out promo cards as an apology for not having runewars tournament at european championship 2018. Also i know that 2019 one will happen in Poland, and because im form there i want to make sure that we will get runewars tournament in 2019 at euros. Any idea where to pressure ffg for that?

I and a couple others wrote to FFG OP describing how awesome our shop is, and how deserving they are of the privilege to host a Regional tournament. I know of at least three of us who did that, and our store was chosen, so that's probably a good way to get their attention.

I think this is key, we have to show them that the interest is there, we have 3 regionals in the uk, if we show they are worth doing we can aim for more next year

Euros next year is realistically out of my reach due to the costs and childcare concerns but I hope that you can do us proud over there

I was at Euros playing X wing and there was no announcement that they were handing out cards. I talk to the organizers and judges etc, go for beers and what not and it was only by pure chance, that during the lull between top 64 bracket that I mentioned it was a shame that I couldn't drop into a Rune Wars events if I was eliminated. . ONLY then did they say "Oh . . . speaking of which . . " and gave me cards.

We then joked about Nationals, and that having prizes for Top 64 only was laughable. We all had a joke and laugh about how that the Top 64, 32, 16 and top 8 were more like door prizes and that people will lose their first match and drop out to play something else like X wing, Armada or Lot5R because of the way the tournament will be.

That is what Rune Wars is, it's an after thought, a single brown, unlabeled box left in the corner of Flight Control, propping up coats and bags, forgotten and alone. Which is a shame really.

I really hope it gets more traction. Maybe if we ALL turn up to events on the regular, it will begin to pick up but it will take some serious effort from the community to compete with their other games.

Maybe now that Netrunner has died, we can take it's place and avoid going the same way, or worse, going the way of Dust.
