Are you going to buy Saw’s Renegades?

By Samwise Gamgee, in X-Wing

If you are going to buy the expansion, what’s the draw for you since it’s not the X-Wing/U-Wing fix?

I probably will not since neither the pilots nor paint schemes really pique my interest. Especially when I can put that money towards 2.0.

That’s all out the window if there’s a K2-SO pilot/crew. In that case, I’m all in.

Well its going to be a 1.0 & 2.0 expansion, so that's enough of a reason for me.

It'll keep my X-Wings playable until 2.0.

I dig the Partisan color scheme.

I like the pilot abilities.

FLAPPY WINGS!!

More 2.0 X-Wing and U-Wing pilots that aren't in the core or the conversion kit.

All of the currently revealed 2.0 U-wings are thoroughly unimpressive, except for maybe Cassian and definitely Two Tubes. With perceptive (and sensors), you can support friendlies without losing any action efficiency and that's a pretty huge deal in 2.0 where it seems a LOT harder to get full mods.

Toss on Jyn (formerly Jan crew), and you got yourself a solid support and combat capable ship

Two tubes and the x-wing fixes for the months until 2.0 release. Also an extra x-wing 2.0 dial. I will probably sell or trade the u-wing model as I prefer the blue one.

I preordered 2 for 1.0, keeping them for both 2.0 and 1.0.

The U-wing is a much better chassis in 2.0 though. Medium base and 90 degree pivots will help it alot. However, the biggest buff is the pivot configuration doesn't telegraph your intentions like the 1.0 title did.

Because it is a 2.0 expansion as well. And the Two Tubes brothers seem interesting.

And there is still a store champs to play in between now and 2.0

Of course. Gotta get a medium base to start proxying stuff.

It's still not an amazing chassis and is going to be crutching on its support capabilities given that's what all its named pilots are built around.

I don't believe it'll end up out-jousting all the other rebel options.

I'm glad pivot wing doesn't utterly suck anymore, but it doesn't make the U-wing particularly amazing. It's uniquely maneuverable, but it's not actually that mobile and has no native repositioning.

And imo it's still in danger of losing its role to the Auzzie, regardless of the health and reinforce nerfs bridging the gap a little. Aux arc and reinforce are still big, it'd have to close crew slots or be much more expensive to give the generic U room to breathe.

Price is going to be the main factor on if it is good or not. The chassis is plenty good enough for a support craft, as long as it is cheap enough.

As for the **** wookies, now is the perfect opportunity to remove a crew slot. It was ridiculous that they ever had two crew slots.

I don't think double slots are a good idea. It's stupid anyway, since a slot doesn't represent a seat anyway. But we will still have them, sadly

Double and even triple slots have a place in the game, they just have to be used appropriately. That the stupid wookies could carry the same number of crew in their wooden rowboat as the Imperials could in their state of the art Lambda-class shuttle was insulting.

If it was a Rogue Squadron Pack with a new X-Wing and Red Paintjob U Wing with Rogue Squaron mini logo, id buy it right now

Definitely not.

The changes for the U-wing in 2.0 will definitely make it worthwhile to fly. It is 1 of 5 ships with the co-ordinate action. So that will be nice.

Gotta catch 'em all.

Well, the Servos and Refit are still fun enough that I want them. Another copy of FAA is nice and I’m interested in some of the crew, like Saw and Magva.

Ooh great idea - totally didn't even think that it will come with a medium base

Release date thoughts anyone?

Heck yes. X-wing fixes plus 2.0 content? Why would you not if you play Rebels?

Yes, I am back to getting one of everything (even the X-wing 2.0 expansion although I already got 4 1.0 and preordered the conversion kit and core set.)

I don't have a U-wing, OR any T-65's(bought in with TFA core set.), so I'm down to clown. I also plan to grab a 2e core, and a 2e X-wing pack, so I'll have 3 T-65's when 2e rolls out, all with the articulated wings.

I have actually pre-ordered this. I am looking forward to this set BADLY. :)

Hope for this to get published really soon. I have been waiting far too long already.

Yes, I know there will be 2.0 coming in fall, but that's no problem, because I will be using the new ships then, too.

I was consedering buying it when the pack was announced, mostly for the fixes.
Then, 2.0 coming fast, I don't need a second U-wing, and definitely not an 8th T65 ?
So I'm gonna pass on this one.

Do have to see what the 2.0 xwings do, though

Really unimpressed by their 1.0 versions, but you never know what they can turn into

The ps 7 in particular is already better off in 2.0 as closed servos pack a linked action

2 sets for me. Looking forward to trying out 3 u wing lists and also a pure saws renegades of 2 u and 2 x wings. Feel I’ve been waiting forever for the release now though....
