Why we need the Clone Wars in Armada

I have been on board with this literally since they released X-wing. And X-wing second Ed has paved a path to do it really soon. I suspect the delay in announcement is for double(up to quadruple) announcement of clone wars content for the whole line of games, X-wing, Armada, and Legion, potentially Imperial Assault as well.

For that, they would have my forgiveness! Don't know if they are going to do it, but I would love to see it.

I mean, to me out would make sense to do it that way. I'm not trying to get anyone's hopes up. Just saying it might be planned already. When they announced 2.xw they had a poster on the right side of the stage that very predominantly featured entirely prequel characters... And nobody batted an eyelash. I would not have been surprised to find out that behind the scenes they were going to announce that prequel content was in the next wave, but decided closer to last minute that they wanted to announce it at a different time. As it is X-wing is waiting on two waves of content to arrive, so maybe they just didn't want to over-do the previews, again? I'm just saying that if I was in their marketing department, that's how I'd do it.

I will admit, adding a Force upgrade makes more sense if they intend to do prequal era expansions. The GCW, and Sequel eras have very limited Force users.

@cynanbloodbane Also, the argument of how does a Droid Starfighter 'focus' was fixed with the introduction of the psuedo Droid specific 'calculate' action. Ig88 has it natively, and The new C-3PO let'syou take it too, along with a few other pilots and crew. So now the Droid army is more possible to do then it was before. Honestly I hadn't even thought about the Force considering it also played into the sequel trilogy just as much as the prequels. Good catch.

The problem here is that everything in the Clone Wars SHOULD be underpowered compared to the current roster of ships, rendering them pointless to purchase. It wouldn't make any sense for them to be just as strong. If the Clone Wars ships were going to be used, they should have done so from the beginning. Thematically it doesn't make sense. I'd suspect we'd only see ANH-TLJ era & new trilogy ships moving forward.

Ignoring the fact that we already have Clone Wars ships in the game... They could always be slightly weaker and cheaper. But honestly tech didn't change a ton between the wars, considering a lot of the ships are still being used from it during the Galactic Civil war.

Personally I really enjoy the game but have just been using a friend's sets. If they made Clone Wars content I would go and buy a starter and all of the ships day of.

I can't see them going into the resistance era because it wouldbasically be just one massive costly ship per side. And there is so much more content from the Prequels.

Battle of Coruscant was awesome! It's time FFG! Test the waters with a Clone Wars starter.

Bring on the Clone Wars!

I don't play destiny, but based on that article it seems to me that they support clone wars era stuff in that game. That would suggest adding clone wars era to their products isn't an un-crossable line put down by disney.

This gives me hope!
