I noticed one of the Y-wing generics was also called a "Bomber". I wonder if there's any plans in the future to have different upgrade slots on ships. Like a Bomber Y with something like 2 bomb slots and a crew, vs a Turret Y with no crew or bomb slots, but a turret and gunner crew. Something like that

I’m not disagreeing with you, but the Punisher did get a white Reload, a red Barrel-Roll, and a Boost > red Target Lock.

Also, RIP gunboat aces with that nerf to advanced SLAM.

Luke is in English as he is in Polish
Outrider title means we basically get double Dash from 1st, with a small side of Kanan
I think Lowrick has to choose whether to help his friend before dice are rolled, then gives out an evade token rather than adding an evade result.
Rebel Fenn is PS6 with the same ability >.<
No more guessing zero with 3po, and you need to spend a calculate to do the ability, though you do get 2 tokens with the action.
On a similar point, Leebo can regen a calculate token after they've been used on a roll.
Etahan is back and he's called Gavin!
The Leebo and C-3PO combo comes to mind though. 3PO is not limited to once per turn anymore. Everytime Leebo is shot at or shoots and uses calculate he gets a token (does 3PO usage count as using though??). He will have 2 at the start too if hecalculates because of 3PO.
Sounds pretty strong to me.
Another very positive surprise is Lando. He seems to be actually a lot more flexible now, and granting an action with no further limitations at I5 is pretty nice!
Really. We need to pay for conversion and we don't get all cards nor all pilots that we had? We get cut down version? I say that's bad bad bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why....

Are you sure this is a complete breakdown of the kit? You’re absolutely positively sure ALL the cards have been revealed?

Some 1e pilots are not in the game at all. Why is that an issue?
Lando Card art is now non canon

No Luke in an x-wing?
I think it's not individual shots of every card, since Y-wing Norra and Evaan and x-wing Thane are in one together. Initially thought it was just 4 pilots per ship but tehre's clearly at least 6 y-wing and 5 x-wing, and im sure there must be a Luke x-wing so maybe we will get the other B's too.
Starting 2e with all the pilots and all the upgrades from 1e would be a really awful, terrible idea. The game was bloated and unwieldy. Yes, some folks are going to be missing their favorite card/pilot but it's necessary.
I wonder if the game would be easier to balance if some ships just didn't get unique pilots. We have some with no generics. Do we need a Gunboat "Ace" or TIE Reaper made up dude #4?
If this is the complete set, can anyone see an A-Wing over PS4? I can’t find one. Jake is at 4, so got downgraded and his ability is now really bad imho.
And i can’t find Tycho anywhere, so maybe they removed him.
If so, the most nimble rebel Fighter would have no pilot that can effectively arc-dodge.
This would be a real shame. They did apparently relate some pilot skills to ships. Most Y-Wings (except Norra i believe) are now 4 only, and i can’t find any B-Wings above 4 either. So if that is because they are more sluggish bombers, they should have given the A-Wing at least a 5 if not a 6 for being an interceptor.
i mean leaving Fenn at 6 is pretty questionable in the shuttle, but not giving the only real Rebel Interceptor any pilot that could make proper use of its maneuvrabilty is nothing short of a catastrophe...
That’s a mistake comparable to giving no Y-Wing an EPT in first edition.
Edited by ForceMI think they forgot Thane but it wouldn't surprise me if this is what's in the box.
It fits with the pattern I expected based on the Wave 1 ships. 1.0 numbers of named pilots now, plus an extra two or three in the blister rereleases.
So no Luke?

Core. Set.
The model in the box even is painted specifically as Red 5.
Edited by Aaron FossRed 5 looks different?
Course I should have realised it'd be core. i wonder if there'll be another x-wing pilot in the core that we don't know about.
Looking at the fact there's 6 Y-Wing pilots, i'd have thought also there's be 6 x-wing pilots in the conversion. but maybe they only did 5 becasue Luke is in core and that makes 6 pilots. for both X and Y and then 2 new pilots for each ship when they release them in the waves.

I don't think you're necessarily wrong about this, but it does make me feel like we've been a bit misled regarding the switch to second edition and the conversion kits.
Promises of backwards compatibility and conversion kits start to ring a little hollow when you realise that dropping £150 for all three kits and a core set is only going to bring through a fraction of the 1e content into 2e. A significant fraction, no doubt, but it is a little galling to be asked to pay that now and pay even more with each successive wave for content that, in many cases, will be a 'converted' version of 1e content.
I kinda would have preferred FFG to just call 2e a completely new game and offer 'starter' kits instead at this point. It would have felt a little more honest.

No offence, but if you haven't been reading up on all the released information then maybe don't' panic about what is or isn't in the game?
The very first article released the day FFG announced second edition showed Luke as an X-Wing pilot front and centre with an array of upgrade cards. We've known he was in the core set since the very beginning.
FFG have given out X-Wing expansions to various X-Wing community members, and we've seen the full contents of the box. They've also done demo games with several different ships and pilots. We've known since (pretty much) Day 1 who the six named 2e X-Wing pilots are:
Wedge, Luke, Jek Porkins, Garven, Thane Kyrell and Biggs. FFG have also stated several times that the core set content will not be in the conversion packs, but all the content from the wave 1 expansions will be.
The X-Wing expansion, and therefore the conversion kit, contains four named pilots and two generics. Wedge, Garven, Thane, Biggs, Red Squadron Veteran and Blue Squadron Escort. This is the same as the Y-Wing (whose pilots we've known for a while, but have only actually seen all of them as of this leak). Horton, Dutch, Norra, Evaan Verlaine, Gold Squadron Veteran and Gray Squadron Bomber.
I'd suggest digging out the second edition articles on the main FFG site and reading through those, watching one of the gameplay demo streams (probably the Team Covenant video with Alex Davey) as they answer a lot of questions, watching one of the X-Wing unboxing videos on youtube and looking through the core set leak. You'll get a lot of your questions asked.
I think it's good that x-wing will have by far the most pilots in a game called x-wing.
Don't forget the pilots that will be in Saw's Renegades! That (and the TIE Reaper) will be the first first 2.0 content we will be able.to get our hands on.

There’s been a lot of talk about opening up the “design space,” but I really don’t envision that becoming a condition.

But that crew card shows Lando and Han gambling after the OT, like in the Jedi Academy trilogy. It hasn’t been canon since 2012.

I would be more concerned with the Lando YT-1300 pilot card.

That’s not the Falcon flying out of DSII, it’s not missing the rectenna. So yeah....when did this happen? SotE?
Another Slight Disappointment ... No Captain Rex in an ARC-170. (Nor his clone, Caption Rex either.)
Out of all the pilots here, he would be the guy to have ARC-170 experience.
I know it is fluff, but still would have been nice to see.

Yes, that is the Falcon being flown by Lando (and Chewbacca) as they fly through Xizor's crumbling Skyhook station. Dash was right behind them, but everyone assumes Dash does not make it out because he fakes his death with an opportune hyperjump to keep the Empire and the Black Sun from looking for him or the Outrider in the future.
It's subtle, but the presence of the dish and nature of the walls of the tunnel (which look nothing like the ones in the DSII escape scenes) is probably meant to give it away, at least for those who know Shadows of the Empire (ie, the subset of fans who grew up playing N64 in the 90s).

The intent of the conversion kits is to allow veteran players to convert their ship collections to the new game. The kits do not bring everything from 1e into 2e because not everything in 1e is moving to 2e.
Many cards died to bring us this new system.
