I wonder if I will be able to field hundreds of TIEs, as they were shown in the battle of endor. It is the imperial flavor, after all. I know the pricing might be an issue, but I still want it. Because that's what's important. Not balance. /s
Thematic imperial list 2.0

Well, hundreds is unlikely (
boo hiss
), but the fact that seemingly alone of every other early-wave ship we've seen, the TIE fighter has gained neither actions (X-wing's Barrel Roll), nor any dial improvements (B-wing's Talon Rolls), nor any baked-in-upgrade rules (Interceptor's Autothrusters) and the statement that there is much more of a price gap between generics and uniques (especially force-sensitive uniques) makes me suspect we might be going to see a points cost reduction such that you can field more than 8 fighters.
It Would be nice to have 9-10 TIEs in
space
. The only upgrade i saw was an extra Modification Slot. I may only guess that they (The Academy Pilot) will cost 20~24 points. I would like to see theme of one "Ace" (unique) + Small Swarm (of generics) to be a thing!
But I can see them just doubling the points (to
24
) for generics - the Academy Pilot TIE was a "base line" of
pointing
other ships.
Bring it!
Maybe they'll have overarching upgrades (played to your side of the table rather than specific ships).
Overwhelming Tide
Your non-unique TIEs cost -5, and roll 2 extra dice when attacking or defending against a non-unique pilot.
If any player in the room (not just in your game) is flying a unique pilot you must smash with a sledgehammer any of your non-unique TIEs they so much as look at, to prove how awesome their unique pilot is.
Edited by JJ48They are coming up with rules for adding more ships over time in the core set. It wouldn't really work in a 200/6 game, but it seems like it'd get easier to do scenarios with swarms of TIEs added wave after wave.
