A lot of red dice

Vassal game the other night.

My CR90 starts the turn in long side arc of assault MC80, which has first player.

4 red dice.

And Ackbar.

And CF.

Oh, and it’s Opening Salvo, and first shot for the MC80.

That’s nine red dice.

And the Quad thing that adds a blue if the opponent is going faster (which the corvette is).

And leading shots.

I’m thinking - well, he’s dead. But I’m Rieekan, so not a horrible outcome.

After all the rolling and rerolling stopped, the CR90 lived on one hull.

I was amazed.

The MC80 went down to a group of angry CR90s pretty quick.

Just an anecdote - not data.

Honestly, I can relate with your opponent. It's that one time when literally whatever you do, the red dice just come out blank. Such are the tides of life...

Even as an anecdote, or just plain luck, I like. Brings me ever so much closer to pulling out the Ackbar CR90 swarm again (curse you EWS).

From full health? Admirable, but not astounding math-wise. If he does not get an acc, he needs 8 raw dmg to pop the cr90(not including the double hit which gets discarded by the evade). That means all the red dice have to land something(unless many doubles). Even if you secure the LS reroll via QBT it is approx half chance to one-shot it with 9 reds.
