KENOBI: A Star Wars Story....

Yah I got that impression as well, but I'm wondering with the financial mess from Solo what will happen.

Release date was a big factor in Solo doing so poorly. Within a month of Infinity War. A week following Deadpool 2. The average movie goer is like "Meh. Dont want to see three movies in a month."

In addition this is coming off the heels of a very polarizing Last Jedi. Solo in terms of a movie itself has potential to make money. I think a release date of the Fall would have been better served.

A Boba Fett movie done carefully and correctly..can turn a profit.

Disney just can't churn it out and pump it out like they did with Solo

Gotta say, I loved the 'Underworld' that Solo built and would really enjoy more stories there-in. If Solo had been a success I've no doubt we would have seen an true sequel. As you say, though, with the way it shook out I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

I would like a sequel, but Solo does well enough on it's own. So I wouldn't mind a continuation in another form, say books or comics.

OR MAYBE EVEN A SINGLEPLAYER VIDEO GAME; RIGHT EA? (hint, hint!)

I hope they stick to delving into the underworld. We've had underworld characters portrayed but always within the context of the war and quite honestly I'm a skosh fatigued with the whole galactic struggle side of the genre. I'd rather see the universe explored from the underworld perspective.

i did enjoy the exploration of the Star Wars underworld and would welcome well done movies that explored it further.

But, there is another part of the Star Wars universe that is largely untouched: Imperial Society. Insiders.

Not out on the fringes, not in the underworld, not at rebel outposts, etc. Not on a dirty dystopian backwater.

There is room for a great Star Wars espionage thriller to unfold among the rich and powerful and the Imperial muckety-mucks.

And, it could easily cross-over with the Black Sun or more Crimson Dawn. Exploring that Nexus could be interesting, as well.

Introducing Prince Xixor as a principal villian with some Palpy / Vader / Maul support could work, for instance.

Now all they have to do is make him a double agent and adapt him to the big screen.
