As far as I know, in the Battlefront game Iden's ship has added proton torpedo launchers, and possibly other things. Could there be a title for the basic TIE to make it punch above its weight? Something like:
You get a torpedo slot slot.
Barrel roll --> Lock
Have to be careful though. Inferno Squadron operated on both sides of the law.

For the main game, no idea.
But upgrade slots are defined by format rather than by ship now so you could easily have a scenario format where the TIE has a missile slot. The old flight sims did that from time to time.
Since we don't know the complete upgrade bars for the ships, and it will be handled in the app, it's possible that they could give just the inferno Squadron pilots the Torpedoe slot through the app without a title.
This could be a way, though a more complex way, to add/remove pilot specific upgrade slots without worrying about a title. The only reason to need a title is if it were to change the mechanics of the ship itself or add abilities. Though I suspect they will keep all the basic upgrade slots the same among all pilots of the same ship.

I'm disappointed we didn't get the Rebel side. Sure would like to see Shriv in a T-65 as part of the game.
I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see Iden on the other side in the future. Maybe with the Resistance?

Only ships I remember her flying in Battlefront 2 during the DLC was the T-65 and SF. Resistance definitely doesn't need their own SF, so maybe she can fly a Resistance T-65? Shriv, and Iden's daughter Zay, could be T-70 pilots, with ID-10 as an astromech thanks to that little adapter socket they made for him.

I really would have liked to have seen her Rebel version but I guess her defection came too late to be a Rebel in the game and her Death probably too soon to be with the Resistance. Shriv on the other hand SHOULD BE IN THE CONVERSION KIT OR CORE SET!!!! I'm going to have to go replay some of her missions to jog my memory on other ships she may have flow.....and just because the campaign was fun!

I'd still like to see Hobbie and Wes, as well as Keyan in something, and Ace Azameen would be nice so we could get all 3 of the X-wing game protagonists.

She flies a T-65 at the battle/liberation of Naboo and has ID-10, would love to get that as an astro upgrade, in her modified T-65 during the battle of Jakku. She then goes on to fly the T-65 during DLC. If they do add the T-65 to the Resistance it could mean adding later rebel pilots to their listing like her, Del, and Shriv.

I think there is just a bit too much competition for the X-wing with all the named pilots for it. Not that I'd hate to have him be in the game he was the best part of Battlefront 2 for me.

I hate that there has to be a competition for named pilots. It wouldn’t bother me if we had a dozen named T-65 pilots in the game. That’s kind of what I was expecting when I first heard the news of 2.0 and new pilots. Thought we’d keep the ones we had and get a bunch of new ones. No reason we can’t have more named T-65 pilots, how many named TIE pilots are there?
It's offensive enough to have this trash in the game instead of classic pilots, lets not double down on EA garbage. Torpedo launcher mods for TIE/LN have been around since TIE Fighter.

Trash? Shriv is an awesome character! Probably one of my more favorite Star Wars characters. Would love to see him in the game. Plus, how many non-human pilots to we actually have in the T-65?

EA is a cancer on the gaming industry. Battlefront 2 2 is a disgusting buggy mess of a game that has literally caused governments to investigate them for running an illegal gambling scheme. A hack writer could have written a more interesting story and characters. Another imperial that went traitor and hung out with Luke? How original!

I whole heartedly agree with you on EA. They need to lose their Star Wars license. The 1st Edition sucked. Only redeeming point was the VR X-Wing mission but it was just one mission.
Mat least the added a campaign to 2 and FINALLY got Starfighter available offline but overall the game still sucks.
For the life of me, I don’t know WHY someone hasn’t done an X-Wing flight sim reboot!
But I still like Shriv’s character!

Business practices are one thing.
Developers and artists creating something that people ACTUALLY ENJOY, is a different thing.
You can like one, and not the other. It is possible that a thing has more sides to it.

Sure, but that isn't the case here. The thing was garbage top to bottom. The only possible good outcome from this would be Disney dropping EA due to the backlash they received.

But some people enjoy it. You might not. But they do. I disliked Iden, because she is a traitor... but Hask is cool. I will fly Hask because of this, probably.
I enjoy battlefront 2, I just hate that it lags on the PC. And all the complainers... Oh the complainers... You go on a spree and you are automatically a hacker. The story wasn't great, but it was on par with 3/4th of the old EU books that people praise. The fact that they have changed a lot in battlefront 2 and taking away loot crates in battlefield 5 shows that EA is starting to learn. I am with others though, I do believe they need to have their liscensing revoked though. They had their chances and they aren't doing what they could with the IP.
For TIEs having torps, I would rather not. It was extremely rare to have one modified as such. Certain fighters did have them but that's starting to go into the experimentals that really didn't belong outside of being fodder for a video game.
I'm all forgeneric TIE titles, but inferno squad is a pretty poor choice. Either the 181st fighter squadron or Black Squadron would work lot better with the EU feel of the game, and probably suits the theme a little bit better; TIE swarms don't get upgrades, they get better or die.

Black squadron for TIE fighters, 181st for Tie Interceptors, Thrawn's test squadron (whatever it was called) for TIE Defenders.

Seems good, although I recall there being an old EU Defender squadron under Isard that probably accomplished more. The 181st also flew TIE/ln fighters for a time, until the interceptor came out, but if 1 title per ship is the limit I agree with your breakdown.
You could probably add titles for the TIE bomber, Punisher, Phantom and so forth too, to give them more unique mechanics.

my guess is we will still get the tie shuttle as a title card.
