Looking at a combat patrol type list with a healthy mix of squads. Seems like it could be fun, if not optimized for tourneys.

So... tragically bad, or just not inspiring?

It’s a pretty good list, in not kind of standard wave 2 stuff. A few comments, replace ACMs with APTs on the admonition as it synergies with dodonna. I am also not a fan of Corran horn, an YT1300s are better escort tanks that x wings. The squad wing also wants ten numb to bring down enemy squads. The AFMKII could also use a Turbolaser upgrade, and the MC30 is a killer with h9 Turbolasers.

One more thing, dodonna is safer on the AFMKII, as the mc30 is a super big target anyway, and with an admiral aboard, every enemy ship will instantly pounce on it.

Yeah, definitely an old design. Revisiting old standbys in lieu of new updates.

The squads have been changing, with this being the most adaptive or situational. There’s another that’s all heavy bomber (and included Ten) and another that’s focuses on taking out squadrons. I’ll see how it goes, but on paper as it’s currently configured, I’ve got 7 of 8 squads with bomber (4 throwing reds w/ BCC and then the 3 heavy bombers) - so there’s a relatively consistent ship threat. Corran and the E (with Adar) are supposed to be snipe the Dengars and Mareks of the world if necessary, otherwise the double tap would likely go to Nym.

id like to beef up the lasers, but also like the idea of a healthy bid, b/c of Admo.

One more comment, the AFMkII is better off with ECMs as it was originally. Because of its "sampler palette" of defense tokens, they are prone to being locked down, so ECMs can help brace away a big ISD shot, not to mention that EWS not great to begin with. Being able to spend defense tokens does not compare to obstructing an attack. Additionally, slaved turrets is also useless, dual turbolaser turrets are a far better idea.

Yeah, I’m just testing EWS to see what it does. ECM is generally my go to.

Same with the twins and slaves turrets. DTT is cheaper, but I wanted to see how much damage 4 re-rollable reds can put out. First test was surprisingly good - but reds are always going to be reds.
