Cagey HH Swarm Fleet

By Deadshane, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Is this any good or a waste? Not built to smash, more like avoidance and playing the Objectives. (2 of which are somewhat uncommon)

Its just another attempt at a major Z swarm list. (I actually have all the Z's)

Your fighters are vulnerable to flak and could be hit hard by a decent enemy squadron force. Mauler or Shara could be very troublesome. You also have to pay a lot on Expanded hangars to control most of them.

I would tone the numbers down a bit with a little more quality for quantity. What about

Jan, 4 X-wings, Blount, 7 Z95s. 134 points

Now the X-Wings keep Blount alive as in your version he would always be targeted first by an enemy. 4 X-Wings with escort and Jan lending them braces each turn will easily survive 2 turns against strong fighter opposition allowing your cheap, efficient Z95s to pile on the damage unmolested with their double rerolls. With AFFM you could even replace some X-Wings with YT1300s to get more hull and counter-1 but the X-wings have bomber to land crits once the Z-95s have stripped shields.

So with only 13 rather than 19 squadrons you can save 19 points on expanded hangars, possibly replacing some with Boosted Comms or change a flotilla with a CR90 or Hammerhead.
