Hey guys!
So after watching just one video on youtube about this system, I couldn't help but order it.
My question is in regards to the world i'll be using.
I am going to be running a Star Ocean setting. For those unfamiliar with the Star Ocean universe, there is a universal pact called the 'UP3' which essentially prohibits any advanced (space traveling race) to come into contact with an underdeveloped planet. Very similar to Star Trek. All planets must achieve space travel and technological advancements on their own, and any interference from the outside could alter their future or evolution.
But because of the infinite amount of planets in the universe, each with their own magics, genetics, unique/inert abilities that the occupants of the planets could be born with, They can sometimes be targeted groups or individuals that are part of the UP3. Some could go to a planets with tech and magic, because they want to rule over it, Other could be stealing away a child that was born with incredible abilities, others could go to the planet to syphon off an incredibly rare resource, that is unique to that planet.
My players will be part of a team that hunt down breachers of the UP3. (like space police) lol
This gives me the option to use every and any setting, but the players themselves will also be held responsible for any breaches they cause while carrying out their mission.
As such, they can only take equipment, weapons that reflect the planets current tech, because they need to blend in while carrying out their mission.
What do you guys think?
What could you suggest to be an easy way to keep track of items/equipment/ weapons when transitioning from a Advanced planet, to a medieval or Steampunk setting.
My current idea would be a Matter Materializer on the ship. They use their (Matter points) to craft items fit for that planet, and when they return, they can turn their equipment back into matter, for spending later on equipment for the next planet.
Would love some feedback
Thanks!
