A Fett trilogy, subtitled: A Fistful of Credits, For a Few Credits More, and The Jedi, the Sith, and the Hutt.
I’m a hard pass on a Fett movie. He is a chump who has never actualy done anything interesting on screen.
I’m tired of them trying to force it so no thanks.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I just don't get this viewpoint. Maybe he hasn't done anything interesting yet. But if they make the best Star Wars movie ever (hypothetically) and turn Boba Fett into a brilliant, compelling character, would you skip the movie simply because he has a comedic death scene in Return of the Jedi? If the Tales of the Bounty Hunters book from back in the day is anything to go by, there's huge potential in a Boba Fett movie.
This will be the one I will be doing cartwheels to the ticket booth for!
Boba is the character that got my wheels turning as a kid regarding the universe of Star Wars. He was also a bad looking character that I had to use every time we played action figures!
Sign me up! would make my day to be an extra in the movie!
Oh, the only tattoo I have is the Mythosaur from Boba's shoulder plate.
I’m excited For this flick but does this mean the Obi Wan film was just a rumor and not official?
Obi-wan film comes out first then I believe the Fett one.

Boba Fett's cult fandom has been the most unearned of any supporting character in pop culture since 1980. It's predicated on one line (that I feel I can make a compelling argument completely fails to imply he's GOOD at his job, and might instead be a scam artist) and a cool helmet.
Meanwhile, Wedge Antilles, the only pilot in the galaxy to survive the assault on TWO Death Stars, is the unsung hero who actually deserves such a cult fandom. And is utterly ignored. Rogue Squadron movie, plzkthx.

Maybe you already know this, but Wedge appears in several episodes of Star Wars Rebels. As for Boba Fett, he's just got that iconic look, you know? And he can't be that bad at his job, because he successfully tracks the Falcon and delivers Han to Jabba.

Yes, Wedge finally showed up in Rebels. And had one author out of the entire Legends EU that seemed to appreciate him enough to check in on him and his post-Endor life in more than a passing mention. (And the Rogue Squadron comics were awesome)
Boba Fett, on the other hand, was idolized so much that Lucas himself decided to ret-con the entire foundation of Stormtroopers into his backstory, Boba Fett showed up in Clone Wars, was a constant figure in the comics, etc.
All based on like ten minutes of screen time where he passed off the work to the main characters (he didn't "deliver" Han to Jabba, he narced on them to Vader, let Vader capture Han, and then drove the shipping container to Jabba...) and then botched his role in a battle, dying* in the process.
And yeah, he's bad at his job. Live bounties are harder. Boba Fett has a reputation for disintegrating his bounties. One could posit that the motivation for carrying out your trade in such a way is it's easy to fake a disintegration and claim the bounty with no evidence. He could be a scam artist for all we know, based on that line!
*Until uncreative EU authors couldn't possibly let THAT stand.

Compelling plot line for a stand alone movie, youve got there...
The biggest problem I see with a Boba Fett movie is I don't see him as a good protagonist. I don't want to see more of his simpathetic back story. He is a guy that for money brings someone in regardless of whether they deserve the tortures they will receive or not.
Lucasfilm will not do the character justice.
I kinda hope to see a previous ruler of mandalor that showed up in a recent film recently if they do the boba fett film as it could kinda fit.
The character is all image and no substance. There's nothing wrong with that in film in itself, but it's a bad template for a story based on him. A large part of the reason he was so popular was because of his mystery. A film about him will dispel whatever of that atmosphere remains (which is likely very little considering the EU rubbish). But there's simply no way Disney won't keep diluting the films and setting through constant releases. The dead horse has yet more floggings to receive.
Fett didn’t actually die in the Sarlaac pit in the original books. He managed to get out although badly scarred and was saved by Dengar.
He was very compelling in the books and eventually became the Leader of the Mandalorians and helped save the New Republic from the Yuuzhan Vong from memory. Also had a Daughter I think and he had brushes with Han and Co outside them films.
Totally deserves his own films.
I just hope that it’s not so bad that it makes Jar Jar Binks look like Bobba Fett.

So is Han Solo.
IV-
Han dropped his spice and can't pay his debts.
His ship is impounded.
He fails to notice his ship is being tracked, leading the Empire to the rebel base.
V-
No smuggling done.
Still in debt.
He fails to notice his ship is being tracked.
He gets chumped by an old buddy, captured and frozen.
VI-
Gives away the rebel operation (not that it matters) and gets captured by carnivorous bears.
Is ambushed and captured by The Empire.
No smuggling done.
Still in debt, though at least one person he owes is now dead because his future wife strangled them. I'm not sure on the moral of this story.
VII
Has lost his ship.
Has got his crew killed.
Still in debt.
No smuggling done.
Is captured by The First Order.
Is sucker sabred by his son.
Working with the semi-serious evidence we have, Han Solo is a terrible smuggler who needs a prequel movie to show he can do his job.
Otherwise, go hire Captain Reynolds. At least he keeps hold of his ship. ![]()
This is by no means a serious argument.
'This is not altogether fool.'
So do you have a 30 something Daniel Logan prior to Episode 4 or Temuera Morrison as an aged Fett sometime after Episode 6?

There has been a small movement within the Dented Helm community to have Logan as Fett in a movie. They recently finished a screen accurate Fett outfit for him.
