Sooooo, I decided to start collecting Legion too... it was the speeder bikes that got me!

And to open the ledger, I hope to post something of a first - I have not yet seen anyone do a conversion like this here on the forum, but who knows what else is out there on the inter-webs.

I bought two Cores, thinking I would convert one of the backward shooting riders into shooting his across his chest, to the left - like the trooper that tries to shoot Leia in the Endor chase.

Then I got my Snowtroopers - I am very partial to a consistent theme across a list, so I intended to do a both an Endor-themed Imperial force, and a Hoth one. I was feeling like the Hoth list might be very limited, with just troopers and walkers, but having not seen bikes in the movie didn't think they belong... Then I saw an AT-AT diagram... and it had a bike garage in the back end! With that revelation I began the following:

I've also done minor work on most of my trooper units, with leg-swaps, arm-swaps, head and pose repositioning, aiming that no two troopers will be exactly the same (heavy weapon troopers being the most difficult to differentiate) - I'll try to post some pic's later this weekend.

That is pretty outstanding.

Lots of mold line clean up and gap filling on some swapped limbs before painting can start.

A while off yet - these close-up photos certainly reveal the mold lines that need to be removed.

Then I have to wait for the recent spate of wet weather to end to lay down the spray-primer.

And THEN there's my slow painting to contend with.

That's nothing compared to his (missing) left buttock - gluteus absentia! - will need a fair bit of green-stuff work to make him whole again.
