Have yet to see the movie. Just want to know is there anything in the movie that could/would fit in Armada. I don't if you give away ships that appear, just avoid plot discussions beyond what is required to explain how it would fit in game, i.e. it is a big silly ship with ginormous dishes that goobers up things for criminals.
New ships from Solo, sort of spoilerish
And yes I know said silly ship got cut. It is just an example.
No worry, theres literally nothing new ship wise in the movie.
The dish ship only shows up in a poster. Imo that scene got cut
Edited by dominosfleetThe new TIE hits pretty hard... It might be nice for a squadrons pack.
The only ship you could add is an ISD under construction, or a special Kessel Run ISD or that big creature in Kessel Run that could chew on an ISD ( perhaps you could use an old Godzilla toy on a stand for that )
However I can swear I saw a glimpse of a Dreadnought cruiser while they are leaving Corellia, have to watch 2nd time to confirm.

I thought the exact same thing.
There were a few ships that looked like they could be CR90 relatives as well based on the engines.
Despite liking it much more than I thought I would, it's the only recent SW movie that hasn't made me want to play Armada immediately afterwards!
Then again, it's not that sort of movie. Thought it was better than 7/8 and 1-3.

yes...the BIG monster....it would be fun to run some of the ARMADA squads against a MONSTER as the opponent!....great idea....wunderbar

Pretty sure it was a CR90. Kinda looked like there might have been a few other ships in that scene, but it was pretty fast, so hard to tell. I was really looking for something new, but...not sure there was anything.
Obviously the TIE/rb could possibly show up as a squadron type.
Dryden Vos's ship might be big enough to have appeared in the game (it looks about CR90 size), but...uhhh…we really don't have a faction for him. He was stealing from the Empire, not really on friendly terms with the local Imperial governor, and was generally altogether criminal...and needless to say, the Rebels would also not touch him with a thousand-foot-pole, so...
I dunno. It could work, but it'd need a Scum faction to appear.

"Space monster faction"
You've got:
- Exogorth from ESB
- Purgill from 'Rebels'
- Summa-verminoth (what these guys are apparently called) from the Maw maelstrom in 'Solo'
- Neebray mantas from the Kaliida Nebula in 'Clone Wars'
- Ummm…?the Vong?

I thought it looked like a Gozanti. Hopefully someone will get a screenshot soon.
Abeloth from legends is also a contender.

I noticed that some of the ships had identical looking engines to a CR-90 but weren't CR-90s.
There was one I immediately thought was a Gozanti but I couldn't tell.
Some of the lads in the X-Wing forum think it might be a C-ROC variant.

That's definitely plausible.

Don't forget the Mynock Squadrons.

Fixed that for you.
There were some transports landing at the Corellian starport when Solo was approaching, but in terms of new starships I think that's it. For Armada, it's either title cards or a squadron of the new heavy TIE Fighter.
...Legion probably gets the lions' share of content out of Solo (apart from the RPGs): The entire Cadian Imperial Army Troopers, those pre-rebel raiders, and new elite guards to run in a scummy business faction.
Yeah, just saw the movie last night. Don't play IA or Legion but I see where they get stuff. X-wing will get stuff. Probably in 3-4 waves, so by next month that should hit. (Deep sarcasm there) Armada....
To quote Admiral Nelson - 'Armada is dead'
It's not but I always wanted to say that and it seemed like a good point for more humor and sarcasm.

Crocs are gozantis. Same model different year kinda thing there.
So if it turns out to be one or the other you're both right.
So the poster for Solo has CR90 variants on it. They look similar but fairly different.
Also I think the Arrestor cruiser is still possible for Armada.

I'm excited to see if the Visual Dictionary has a better pic of one.

Can you provide a link? I haven't seen that poster at all. Thanks!

Am I crazy?
Are those just CR90s? Because theyre in the movie over the city and I'm not sure.
What is that tall skinny black ship?
23 minutes ago, Fuzzywookie said:What is that tall skinny black ship?
It's Dryden Vos's yacht. It's pretty cool, but I don't think we'll see it in Armada. More of a squadron-sized thing.
There is a variation on a c-roc and a cr-90somethingishlooking ship over Corellia. There is also the framework for a star destroyer of some variant and later on we see a lot of Dryden's yacht. The SD and the yacht are not armada worthy. Not enough of the SD to matter.? CR and C-roc... maybe.
I also think that was a cr80 cr90 leaving corellia. Anyone notice the freighter hoovering nearby?
so sad they didnt put the VSD instead of an ISD on the Kessel exit.
Several opportunities for squadron pack content. Combine what was in this movie with missing stuff like the U Wing and Gunboat, and I think we have plenty of content for a new pack. I didn't notice anything for a new capital ship though.
