Okay so a squad of speeders has 2 units in it. Each has 3 hp. Now, when shooting do i just call out one guy i am shooting at. Meaning if i do 4 damage that other one damage doesn't spill over to the next guy. It just gets put on the one guy i am aiming at and killing him.

When a player’s unit suffers wounds, that player chooses a mini from that unit and assigns wound tokens to that mini until either all wounds are suffered or that mini is defeated. If there are unassigned wounds remaining after a mini is defeated, the player choses another mini from the same unit and repeats this process until either every mini in the unit is defeated or all wounds have been suffered.

The non-leader model takes hits untill it reaches the health value. Then the leader start taking wounds.

In your example, the non leader is destroy and the leader should take 1 wound.

You're welcome. For what it's worth, there is an entire Rules subforum where a lot of these types of questions have already been addressed and there is even a thread with clarifications on rules questions from the game designer. Might be worth taking a look through it.
