Pilots who you fear won't survive the 2.0 upgrade

Well, we saw a TIE Advanced with Juno’s ability, but with a different name. Hoping she reappears somewhere.

In the Rebel box, I bet ... <_<

BOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tarn Mison, he was my go to guy in Rebels.

Tarn Mison, Hobbie Klivian, and Wes Janson. I know we are gaining Thane but losing any T-65 pilot really hurts me.

The only other option would be if the cor set pilots aren't in the conversion kit since you have to buy the core for its components. I highly doubt this is the case, but it would leave room enough for the plethora of extra x-wing and tie/Ln pilots that were added over time/expansions.

I feel like they would have already told us if this was the case though.

I guess some x-wing pilots could be snuck into the Saul's Renegades Ace pack. We would need a way to get the cool tie pilots back still.

That's actually been confirmed, I believe.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that Luke is not in the conversion kit.

I'm reasonably hopeful for four named pilots in each of the core set and the expansion, which gives us a good shot of getting Wes and Hobbie.

But if not, how about this for a possibly out there shout....

Wes Janson as a unique gunner card who works on rear arcs.

That way you could put him as the tail gunner on an ARC-170, and he'd be filling the same role he does in Empire Strikes Back. Just... in space.

They really need to release a pilot named "Bh'awb <something>" instead of "Crimson Specialist"

For reals though, Jess Pava.

I'm assuming that this will be a case similar to Keyan Farlander and Ten Numb. Where Ten basically got Keyan's ability and they likely got rid of Keyan Farlander. Crimson Specialist's ability will transfer to an actual character named pilot. So he'll live on with his new specialist apprentice, whoever that maybe.

They've already said on one of the streams that pilots who got generic callsigns for names in 1e are getting proper names in 2e, and that their old callsigns will be used for their subtitles.

For example Omega Leader is getting a name, but keeping Omega Leader as a subtitle so you know it's really the same person.

So it's not even like it's being 'transferred' to a new pilot, it's supposed to be literally the same person but now we get to learn their names.

Crimson Specialist will probably return, only now we might find out they were really Paige Tico the whole time.

Arc170 Brayleeeeen

Hwk290 Rebel Roark

Kihraxz Cpt Jo(u)stero

M3A Scyk Sunny (!), Genesis Red.

TIE Adv Juno

TIE l/n Backstabber, Scourge

TIE Int Turr Phennir

That said, correctly priced Quinn Jast and Mj Rhymer would be cool. But not highest priority fir me.

did I see somewhere that Oicunn made the cut but his ability has been changed? cause if so, that kinda sucks.

Yeah his ability let’s him shoot at range 0 now, so I’d say an improvement if you move after your victim that is...

I'd love to annoyingly say "Good shot, Janson" when a hit goes through.

Etahn Abaht. I have a friend that says that if he doesn't make 2nd ed (with unchanged ability), he isn't converting.

What a weird place to plant a flag.

Well, since we've already seen her card... ?

I feel the character at least is pretty safe. She was in a movie, featured in comics and at least one short story. They might revamp her ability, but I feel confident we'll see Jess when the Resistance and FO get released for 2E.

Rexler Brath, Major Rhymer, Tomax Bren, Maarek Steele (Defender), Backstabber, Winged Gundark, Dark Curse, Kir Kanos (I want him to be New and Improved), Fel's Wrath (yes, you heard me).

I could have sworn we had confirmation on Rexlar in a Defender somewhere.

I for sure think Vessery will be nerfed if he's in the game. He was already the best Defender pilot in 1.0 and the Defender got a pretty good bump in 2.0. I'm just hoping his ability is still somewhat similar. Maybe instead of super FCS, have him operate like 2.0 FCS. You get to reroll an attack dice if the target you are attacking is painted with a friendly target lock. He would still be pretty darn powerful.

Yeah I hadn't thought about it but with *fixed* torps and missiles Quinn Jast might be really viable.

Especially as you don't need to spend the Target lock. Could be very good against large ships.

But I want his ability to remain intact.

I was really worried for Guri and Xizor. But I was relieved after the unboxing. Now I worry about Thweek and Dalan Oberos.

Dark Curse and Backstabber

FFG is eliminating Vader's Black Squadron, they might as well remove Biggs and Garven
