Pilots who you fear won't survive the 2.0 upgrade

I could have sworn we had confirmation on Rexlar in a Defender somewhere.

Where?

Tycho not in the conversion kit and if the expansions have pilots not in the conversion kits I expect they will be brand new pilots, which is why they don't put them in the conversion to keep them unspoiled till the first reveal

colonel vessery we now know 3 named defenders and a generic, except for highly iconic ships each ship seems to be cutting down to 3-4 pilots each from what the rebel conversion ship showed us

maarek steele in a defender same as above

carnor jax with so many interceptor pilots I expect most will be cut and I dont think the royal guards will make it sadly

kir kanos same as above

i liked all these characters and am sad I can no longer fly them, glad wedge and dash made it, not that they were likely to be left out. hoping when the interceptor is rereleased we get ciena ree as a pilot

But I want his ability to remain intact.

Don't worry, he got an even better one!

Now he's flipping a card... and doesn't need to spend a token to do it.

Did you literally just read the first sentence and ignore two paragraphs of text.

I just ask because I was worried someone would do that when I posted but thought "no, there's no way anyone would do that."

EDIT: Sorry, thought this was in the other thread.

It... wasn't. :P

Carnor Jax & Kir Kanos I think they are Legends only now.

No I thought this was a response to my post in the New Old Pilots thread, where I went on explaining why I like the new Rexler.

Chalk me up for Tarn as well.

Did I read somewhere that Countess Ryad loses her green (blue) K-turns? That hurts.

I hope Blue Ace (T-70 x-wing) makes it to 2nd edition with her awesome 90 degree boost. Maybe she will get a name with blue ace as her call sign.

Nooooooooooo--. Who will fly the red TIE Interceptor??

If they take away Fel's Wrath . . .

So help me I will never buy 2.0!

?

But for real - where are all the A-Wing pilots?

My hope is when they re-release the A-Wing we will get new pilots, and hopefully get Tycho back!

I honestly bet Tycho's ability could work in 2.0. Maybe have it based on charges: Spend two charge to do an action while stressed. Regenerate one charge a turn, etc.

Lt. Lorrir.

I REALLY wanted him to be good, but he wasn’t. And then Echo came out and did a little dance on his remains

The curved barrel roll was such a cool idea, and was actually really thematic in a wonderfully obscure way (Lorrir was a minor character in one of the X-Wing novels who relied too heavily on 'side-slip' maneuevers), but the stress cost just absolutely ruined it. Between that, at least three named aces having better abilities than him and lacking an EPT, there was just no reason to ever take him.

That Star Vipers eventually got it for free, and now have to perform it in 2e shows how far things have come since that design decision.

I'd still love a curved barrel rolling Interceptor, but I also don't see that ability being enough to put him above other Interceptor pilots. Unless they've heavily purged the ranks of Interceptor pilots (if both Carnor and Turr, or at least their abilities, are gone) I feel like there's always going to be someone better for the points.
