So I'm running a tournament, doing test runs on some different software. Question about tournament points. Two players have 22 points at the end, player A has 3/1 record but Player B has 2/2 record but a better SoS, player B is the higher ranked? Is that correct? I run X-Wing tournaments and thats more W/L then points so I just want to make sure.

Yes, this will encourage player A to not play to time so much.
Ok wanted to make sure, thank you!
I am not sure what you mean by 3/1 and 2/2. If that is wins/mod wins then the scores are 36 and 32. If you mean wins and losses then it is 31 and 22.
But yes, if players are tied for points, the higher SoS ranks higher.

I assumed win/loss.
3/1 => 1 full win, 2 mod wins, 1 mod loss = 22 points
2/2 => 2 full wins, 2 full losses = 22 points
Yes win/loss

Huh, I have never thought about it expressed as simple win loss due to the points system. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Technically it would only encourage them not to play to time in the game that they lost since they can't really help it if the other player won't concede.

If 3 out of the 4 games go to time, I feel like at least 50% of the responsibility falls on the player.
