Keep the names coming - who else will be attending GenCon? I'd really like linking up with a bunch of familiar faces from here on the site!

I want to be going but not sure. I am getting married on August 20th so it will be getting around that time when Gencon will be going on. I believe Gencon is a little earlier this year and is actually like the first week of August instead of the second? I'm not sure. I'm hoping I will be able to go but I'm definitely not positive. I feel like I need to make a showing for this as well as Heroscape.

Side note: Is Gencon gonna run any tournaments for Warhammer Invasion? If so that might push me to over the edge in my decision that I will have to go to Gencon.

there should be a number of tournaments. well at least one for sure run by FFG.

For comparison there are 2 LCG only AGoT events plus a third Legacy tournament. Last year they also did a core set only tournament and a kind of league throughout gencon.

I will be at GenCon unsure If i will be at a W:I event though. depends on how much I play between then and now and when the events are scheduled I guess.

I am probably 75% going.

That being said, Game of Thrones takes precedent, so if FFG does their normal thing and schedules both of these tourneys together...I won't be happy.

I'm going to be there... But I just checked the event listing, and there are no FFG events on the list, other than the discussion sessions... No tournaments listed for any of the LCGs at all... Any idea if FFG is going to actually schedule this, or just run them ad-hoc? With event registration starting Sunday, I'd like to know how to schedule my time in Indy...

I will be there :-D looking to play (i practically live in the card room for 3 days lol). As long as no major Magic events conflict with things I will be looking for people to play W:I........This is also when I'm not trying to get some games of Dominion with random people :-D.......O wait or Warmachine.....<3 Gencon........Might be able to sneak in some time for anima tactics this year too ;-).

I also have 2 other people in my group that are confirmed going that play W:I as well and will be playing some I think when the vendor room isn't open lol.

do you recommend booking lodging in advance? and if so, how long out in advance?

Yes but it's not that hard to find an outlying hotel/motel if you don't mind driving in a few minutes. Still, it all depends on how you like to be organized about these kinds of trips. For me, it's a must to have the hotel safely booked ahead of time.

I will be going if I can talk either or both of my friends who (kind of) play WI into going and I don't have a job-related conflict. Better than even odds I'll be there. Good to see that there will be a number of events!
