So had a casual game. Wanted to have fun with Echo, it’s been forever since I used em. List was suboptimal and intentionally so just to see what happens.

Echo: ACD, VI, Navigator, Sensor Jammer.

2x Delta Squadron Pilot. X-7

Man was it fun! Actually managed to bring down Triple B wings including that jerk Tin-Num who was Adaptability up to PS9.

I mean, to be fair, triple B-Wings are kinda $#!+

I think FCS would be better than Sensor Jammer. Other than that it looks good on paper.

I like the Phantom + 2x Defender archetype. Personally, I don't really love Navigator. I just don't think it's high enough value, but perhaps when you're doing those hard turns on Echo... That might be kinda sweet, when I think about it. Navigator on non-Hera ships has always seemed a little "meh" to me, but that's mostly chosing between banks or straights. When choosing between three hard turns, each step wiggles a ship base to the side. Add in a barrel roll, and that starts to matter. I still think something which contributes to dice more directly might be better, though.

Anyhow, you could fit in a (proxy) Director Krennic, which adds the FCS effect, a shield, and a cool way to convert blanks and focuses into "damage." Alternately, Recon Specialist helps supply Echo with multiple focus tokens, or Rebel Captive provides a different sort of defensive benefit.

I love Echo. I really want to fly the phantom before 2.0. Ive flown this list once though it was slightly different. Not sure how i want to buildnit yet.

Who needs vi when you can make Echo ps 11 or 12? Lol. Im fine if they shoot epsilon first. And if i put QD down to a 6 he should still get his shots off until hes damaged, then you have to watch it.

I had rec spec on Echo which was nice but wanting to try tactician or rebel captive maybe. Krennic if I can convince myself to take harpoons off qd
