HembleCreations - Painting, Converions and Scenery

By hemblecreations, in Painting

Hi All,

Started converting my first Squad of Imperial troops from Star Wars Legion. I used a mix of 1:48 scale military figures from Tamiya to convert them and I also used 1:48 equipment from different era figures I have and also plastic rod and 1:35 parts.

The large dish and tower are from BattleKiwi link below and it is made of MDF, I didn't add the smaller dishes as I will be using plastic rod and card to convert it into a large comms station....

Thanks heaps mate and these first lot will be done in the usual black white as I'll use them as Sandtroopers or Jedha troopers. The next one I am thinking the shoretrooper colours as I really like that colour scheme.

Hey Jabba,

The grey sections are from some Napoleonic figures from Victrix and the cylinder are 1:35 scale WW2 German gas canisters.

Sorry about that Jabby.

Hi All,

I have finished with adding extra parts to the comms array and comms relay stations and tomorrow I'll start on the laser turrets from BattleKiwi. The bits and pieces I used were plastic card, plastic rid, 1:35 WW2 military parts, 1:12 Bandai figure parts, flexible plastic tubing and lids.

Hi All,

90% done building all my imperial structures I just need to make a landing pad and two AT-ST stationary platforms out of the bases that come with BattleKiwi's Shield generator and laser turret.

Here are the structures I have made using the shield generator and two laser turrets. I was able to make five structures from three structures so my Imperial outpost is almost complete.

...

I decided to use the laser turrets as ground and air batteries and made two structures with the lower sections. I greeblies on the new buildings were done using plastic card and SW bandai parts.

The doors on were made using the brackets that go inside the laser turrets and the doors themselves are plastic card as are the control panels.

I'll start painting them tonight and get pics up tomorrow night.

Hi All,

The Imperial building are now done, I sprayed them with Tamiya's Neutral Grey and once dry I then drybrushed them with Army Painter Spacship Exterior.

I then went in the line recess's with a led pencil and then used pastel chalks to weather them. The sand is a 50/50 mix of sand/spakfilla and once dry I then painted it with Vallejo's Iraqui sand.

Awesome terrain work mate. Love the little piping details added, and of course the paint job is excellent.

Excellent work

Cool to see you working with the Legion stuff. I remember all the Bandai 1/12 ones you had on the RPF
