We know that for wave 2 of 2.0 they will be releasing Resistance and FO conversion sets, and while have thrown out we will likely see them get new ships I think there is the chance we might see something else come with them. Based off Wave 1 it looks like they would get two expansions, likely the T-70 X-wing (flappy version) and Tie/FO alongside one of the existing ships or something new. However, Wave 1 also comes with a Core Set so they could do a TFA one with a Poe (flappy-wing) alongside two Tie/FO in a box, hopefully with everything from the new core set so old players don't need to run out and buy that. Or, maybe like Runewars they could do some kind of faction pack release with three fighters from that faction, likely Poe and 2 X-wings and Kylo and 2 Tie/Fos.

As for their second expansions they could possibly release the support ships, ala the Upsilon shuttle and the Resistance shuttle or could go for the heavy fighter/interceptor approach with the Tie/SF and Resistance A-Wing, or even do Kylo's Silencer and TFA era Falcon. I imagine the Falcon will be an interesting one for the game since it will likely have 3 iterations, OT, ST, and Solo, I can only see the releasing one per wave and possibly staggering them so that one would release after a second wave to space it out (so one drops in wave 2 and the next drops in wave 4).

For anyone planning on playing Resistance and FO what would you like to see, realistically? As well as taking into account the most new player friendly model for those wanting to start with 2.0 for the ST era factions.

All that sounds great, but if they are planning on releasing another second edition core set then they better announce it soon so that people can adjust their pre-orders. It would be pretty rude to get their entire customer base to purchase the OT 2.0 Core Set only to turn around and announce the ST 2.0 Core Set, which many player would rather buy over the OT one.

Since they didn’t provide scum with a core set option, I am guessing it will just be the one core set this time around.

Resistance and FO will each get a conversion box and a re-release of a couple ships. And more ships will arrive along the waves.

Wave 1 factions are each getting two expansion packs (not including core). I expect the two new factions to get similar treatment, maybe even an extra expansion each in their first wave.

Yea, that would be one of my sticking points too. I can't imagine how pissed people would be especially considering how much they got pissed when TFA core set was released and they initially said you needed to buy it for official play, didn't take them long to change that.

Yea, I'm imagining that we will see a 5 ship wave release regularly until they catch 2.0 up with 1.0, sprinkling in new stuff in there like Solo, and Resistance.

I would not expect a sequel trilogy Core to be released until Episode IX, so winter next year.
