So will the new APP also have the Dice app in it as well?

along those lines would be cool if you could customize the sounds during rolls, or the app would.. Say you have vader in your squad so it does lots of various vader quotes.. and when you roll all blanks says NOOOOO etc etc....

But then I woudn’t get to do that. ?

It would be really useful if it did have the dice built in but the app isn't really meant to be something you always have with you. I think they would prefer you record your list and then buy their full on dice app.

I'd say probably not. They still want to encourage the use of physical components, and having virtual dice in the official app would signal that it would be fine to use them, even in tournaments. And then you suddenly would have to worry about people manipulating it for better results and such non-sens, which is a headache FFG probably doesn't want.

Part of the fun is rolling dice....

Its a feature I don't need. I don't care if its there however for people who do want it, there is a dice app already so it's not really changing anything.

Yeah, but it is not built into a core component of the game, nor is it exclusively X-Wing. Presentation matter with thous things.

There is zero chance of dice being given away for free in the app when they already have a $5 app for that purpose.

Please no. I am happy to have an app for list building.

But once the list is done, I want to get away from all the electronic widgets and just enjoy my analogue game.

I tolerate the HotAC AI app for HotAC to streamline their movement. But I generally make it a point to put away my devices anytime I’m focusing on something.

The only features I want in the app is to save squads and keep score of my wins and loses. Outside of that If it is just a good database for rules and squad building then I’m happy.

also to be able to port results to tournament software would be great too

The one extra feature I'd really like is a solo/full-co-op option...i.e. the app can supply a rudimentary AI along the lines of HotAC. I've really enjoyed the option of playing Descent as fully co-operative game, using the app, and I can't think of a technical reason why the sort of missions supplied in large-based expansions in 1.0 couldn't be added as purchasable content for the 2.0 app.

That said, I don't expect to get my wish anytime soon. It would probably require more development work than FFG is willing to expend on a niche feature, especially when most of their focus has been on the standard tournament scene. But one can dream!

I just want collection management, squad saving, ability to adjust point total for custom games
