During today's unboxing video we got a peak at the rules insert as it pertained to devices. Notably absent from both the rebel and imperial insert are the cluster mines. They kept the bomblet generator, but we lose our clusters? They really must have hated the Punisher expansion, as we don't even get to use the mines from that ship.
Cluster mines gone?
The prox mine got super nerfed as well. Instead of 3 dice, it is now 2 dice.... That will never see play
I didn’t see thermal detonators or ion bombs either. And seismic charges became very cinematic and fluffy. Makes you wonder about the other munitions and if all your favorites made it.

As with everything else, it depends on the cost. If it’s cheap, it oils be a decent budget bomb option
I think there was probably another page they didn't show. Ion Bombs are one of the few movie bombs so I doubt they left those out.

You can see them flip the insert around, it wasn't on another page.

It will probably have multiple charges like the other revealed bombs.
I hope thermals stay the same with 2 charges, and cluster mines stays the same with only 1 charge.

Man you are negative....
Most likely they have multiple charges and we dont know the cost.
You hate 2.0 we get it.
[Tie bomber + mine (proxi, cluster) + red reload ] * 4 = mine token all over the place.
if tie bomber stay affordable, I totaly understands the nerf of proxi mine. I was good at ' eat that 3 dice' with deathfire, he get changed too so we will have to experiment it in v2.

I'm going to have to experiment with mines and bombs myself.
If the Striker has lost Lightweight Frame, then the new devices slot is the obvious thing to spend more points on.
So have any mines or bombs been spoiled anywhere? I haven't seen them on any screenshots.
We saw a partial teaser. We don’t know...
1. If we saw all the converted devices or not
2. If they are forthcoming in a new expansion - just because it’s not in the conversion box immediately doesn’t mean they won’t revisit them in the future

Devs have stated that mines cannot be reloaded.
Probably makes them more tempting for a Striker, then. If I don't have reload as an action anyway, I'm not wasting points on an option I don't have.
Also, they don't take an action to drop, so they have to be weaker.
And, if a ship lands behind a bomber, unless the rules change with overlapping before moving, you drop your overlap bomb with 100% certainty during the systems phase.
IE, a tie interceptor is range 1/2 behind a Y-Wing with Conners. Next system phase, after dials are set, basically at PS0, drop the Conner.
Same could work for prox mines.
I was going to pick up another four sets of Cluster Mines to do a ridiculously janky Y-Wing/U-Wing build. I'm glad I didn't now! ![]()
If the new Proxies are cheap enough I'll use them on Deathrain to set up obscene double modded missiles/torps. Fart out a mine, trigger your ability to boost -> red TL if possible, else get focus. Then do a green move to clear your stress if you took the first route or just do whatever move if you focussed. Ideally there is a range 1-2 warhead for this. Stress free double modded 3-4 dice attacks, with the added bonus of blocking the area behind you for enemy k-turns. Deathrain seems like the ideal combined warhead/bomb carrier.
I was wondering about the clusters too. those and the thermal detonators. I hope they reappear in a future wave if they are not in the conversion kits.

Miranda is DOA! Plz nerf Punishers!
Hehehe.
Ion Bombs might be in the baggy they showed, as they could be in the wave 1 Y-Wing pack. My understanding is that little baggy in each kit had all the stuff that was in the first expansions. It's possible it also had a rules card.

I wonder if they don’t want Cluster Mines around anymore because it’s possible to hit 2 or even all 3 of the munitions at once. Seen it a few times with large bases, and I think mediums could do it if they are angled.
Could be interesting if they released a new version that put a bit of space between them.
Speaking of mine fun, anybody seen any sign of 2.0 Minefield Mapper?
Likely cut in favor of saving space in the cardboard. Just because they aren't in the conversion kit, doesn't mean they won't come back.

They could just drop multiple Prox mines. Maybe Prox mines let you spend multiple charges to drop a string of touching bomb tokens or something..

You must be even happier about it than I am
