I like the basic design, but wish it was a 2-charge rather than 3-charge ability. It'd be every 2nd turn instead of every 3rd turn, but probably not too bad.

The truth is twofold:
1) I loved the idea of ion tokens, and being able to recoup the loss of damage was a step to making the decision to use ion more viable.
2) I have a clearly defined mental image of Dace Bonearm, and that mental image includes "RUDE DUDE" tattooed across his knuckles.

Honestly, (and just to drag the debate into yet another thread
), it's the Hawk's radical upgrade in manouverability that leaves me eyeing the G1A quite so askance.
The hawk gets boost now. Even red, that's not nothin'!

If Dace and another ship with icing capabilites are around on turn seven then you'll get his ability twice. That seems very unlikely to me. I also think it should have been 2 charges, considering all other pilots are once a turn abilities in arc.

From what I can tell the only time range is mentioned in text is if it's either out of arc or not range 0-3. It's pretty safe to say that 'in firing arc' mechanics will be something you can actually check with a normal range ruler.
