Poison Globadiers? Why are these guys any good?

By Wytefang, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

As my subject line states, I'm not terribly fond of these guys - I don't really see why they're all that great. It may be that I'm not understanding some lame timing rule or something. Can someone explain (clearly and specifically) why I should like to use these bad boys?

Thanks!

1. Anti-rush tool. You can snipe 1 HP attackers before they can contribute to the damage pool.

2. Clear the way tool. Use them to wipe out a defender prior to them inflicting damage on your other attackers. Imagine how nice it is when you have Greyseer out with 4 other Skaven units and he is attacking an enemy zone with a 1 power and 1 HP defender. I suspect your opponent would be might happy to trade that unit to kill the Greyseer. With the Globadiers out, that option is gone.

Remember that you can corrupt them AFTER they have been declared as an attacker so you get the benefit of their 1 power as well.

Honestly, they are just strictly better than if they had that damage as a hammer because you get to assign it anywhere and before regular damage. It can be used as a way to damage attackers that aren't even attacking the zone the globadiers are in.

And with the help of Animosity (which i believe will get a lot more use now with Deathmaster Sniktch), it can get to those pesky support, never attacking/defending units in zones other than the battlefield (like the master).

****, forget the master, its action would make him not able to defend, thus being immune to Animosity.
