But no. OP stuff is only okay if they have it under the rebellion.
This was my reaction. Looking at those cards i saw most rebel ships intact or boosted. The ones that are nerfed (ie Miranda) still seem pretty good. Imperials and particularly scums really look like they took a hit. Of course we dont know the point cost yet. For example it might be that they are going for: Rebels has less ship fielded but they are beefier (most point cost raised), Imperial has more ships fielded but each one is a little less effective (generally lower point cost) and scums are in the middle. Otherwise i already see one faction dominating as soon as this is released.
Eh, Miranda seems pretty **** off terrible
A two die primary with thus far no distinguishing features gives her no reason to see play until more cards for the K are revealed
Ghost/phantom interaction got neutered, curbstomped out of all its teeth, and left to die
Only things that got buffed for the rebel were its never seen ships (basically all our OT friends) and the laughing stock that was the E
The rebel yts were only buffed through the polish spoiler of gunner luke, and we do not know if the yt2400 even gets a gunner slot. Otherwise, mobile arc mechanics leave them literally infinetly more reasonable than they used to be
Dash could've afforded being I 4, but eh
Contrast with the buffs other factions got (especially imperial bombers, punishers, phantoms, defenders, lambdas and arguably even the deci which got to keep its 16 health) none of it seems unreasonable
****, so far all the imperial crew seem vastly more interesting and potent than anything rebels got
Edited by ficklegreendiceWe have no clue what has or has not been buffed - we're missing a huge component in pricing. The v1.0 E Wing started at 27 points... And was awful for those points. But if it was priced as an X Wing at 21 points, we'd say it's OP. Likewise, the X Wing at 21pts never sees the table. We have ship chassis information - dials, abilities, and actions. We can start talking about what a ship can do that might be really good or fun. But until we get at least the preliminary point costs, we don't know if they're OP or not. The VCX-100 with its 4 die primary may start at 101points for a Lothal Rebel. If that's the case, are we still qqing over the fact that the rebels got to keep their 4 dice primary? Luke Gunner upgrade may come in at 25 points - that's an entire TIE fighter... He may never see play because of that cost.
Miranda may not be paying for her ability anymore, and the K wing might be super cheap compared to the 1.0 K Wing. The exclusion of the TLT means that the K wing's primary purpose is going to be an ordnance carrier. Heck, they may even allow it to drop a device after the first maneuver (it sounds like TIE strikers will be able to drop one after Ailerons). Miranda may only be using her turret when she doesn't have a front arc attack anyways. Plus, she's literally the only pilot who can bomblet the entire game. That might be the purpose of her ability now. She can also use it the other way to get a 4 dice primary at R1, which is a good use of a shield.
I know I'm not the first one to say this, but we know nothing about what ships, pilots, or upgrade cards are OP, NPE, gamebreaking, or worth qqing over.
