Same; would've love S-loops on the LN...

My first runs proc-ing X-Wings vs TIE/LNs (basing costs off stream info; not final obviously) and the X-Wings are sweeeeet! Protons are fantastic.
TIE/LNs are meh, though you guys can all assume —and you will if you’re digging the unaltered TIE/LN chassis/dial— that I suck at flying to boost your discount of my efforts.
Maybe Interceptors will be able to hang? We’ll hope ?
Edited by clanofwolvesYou don't have to suck at flying to not be able to fly a swarm well
It aint easy to fly the maximum number of ships possible
Sorry man, but +1 Hull (exchanged for integrated) on xwings doesn't exactly herald the doom of the empire

Means she may, MAY be around for when the two black sqd crackshot and three academies have their chance to fire. Howlrunner would still need to survive three dice from Lowrrick and two from Ezra but that's possible with three agility and an evade token (plus some luck.) More so if one of the academies managed to block.
Still think the swarm is going to suffer though. Crackshot being restricted to the bullseye arc, everything else getting a better dial, etc. It will show up in tournaments (because I'll fly it for sure) but the days of domination are long gone.
Seems weird to try to evaluate a 2.0 TIE swarm vs a 1.0 list, though. There are so many assumptions baked in to the 2.0 pilots that aren't valid in a 1.0 meta.
It's already been said that TLTs didn't make it to 2.0, so even if Miranda's ability sees no change, she takes a hit right there. We don't know if Harpoons survived the change. The ability to token-stack on offense is greatly decreased (if not outright eliminated), so surviving three dice from Lowrrick is a bit more likely, particularly with 3 defense dice. For that matter, we don't know if Lowrrick's ability survived.
Even with all that, there's the chance that FFG would simply alter the point costs to make it so you aren't fitting that list inside the squad limits anyway...
Hopefully at least some of these questions will be answered by the conversion kit unboxing tomorrow! (Obviously not the point costs, but at least the pilot abilities and upgrades!)

I know it's difficult to compare a 1.0 to a 2.0 list but I was simply making the point that if you brought in Iden Versio to 1.0 with the same ability, perhaps receive a stress and a weapons disabled instead of just a charge for the same effect, it still wouldn't bring the swarm back.
I agree with what you have said though. The potential for no TLT or harpoons does theoretically help the swarm, even the change to reinforce does but we are still talking about a three hull / three agility ship having to tangle with the likes everything else in the game. Like I said, I think TIE swarms will be around but so will everything else.
As a very famous forum username suggests. . . green dice are fickle after all.
I can barely sleep in anticipation of what the unboxing will bring. REALLY hoping Scourge and Mauler Mithel make the 2.0 cut. I love those guys in my 6 TIE Fighter list.

"Scourge" Skutu and "Mauler" Mithel have both been spotted already. Mauler's ability is the same, I think Scourge's was covered up in the image. Both are In5.

That makes me very happy! Thank you for that info.

Sorry man, but +1 Hull (exchanged for integrated), addition of Tallon Rolls, access to Barrel Rolls, access to Boost, more greens, err blue on the dial, on xwings doesn't exactly herald the doom of the empire
Fixed it for you, no problem; they're very good now, very good, and that's cool. TIE/LNs aren't "doomed" they're just meh.
I've had my tea this AM, [wink].
Tie fighters should be meh honestly, they should also be the cheapest thing by a good measure. The max count should be the largest of any squad even z95’s and scyks. Ties are the physical imbodiment of swarm and that should be their unrivaled title. Moar ships!

That when the new game comes out, having tie fighters in an imperial list will be a massive mistake.
Just like they are now in X wing beta 1.0.
I'm not gonna read 4 pages just to see if someone mentioned this, but Bell of Lost Souls played a game that ended in a draw due to the store closing, but the TIEs acquit themselves admirably, and if not for the player's failure to notice Luke rolled too many dice (something the players later noticed, and address in an annotation at the time) the Imperial player would have won handily.
