So, doubtful we'll see more stolen stuff. Only faction overlap seems to be Ys and Z's

Ya, 2.0 seems to be really dedicated to he faction identity thing, so it seems even less likely than it did in 1.0. Honestly I’m kind of surprised they didn’t roll back the Rebel Tie as well.

Not surprised but boy howdy would I have sent them a nice christmas card if they did.

Probably because the way the Rebels and Imperials use it is fundamentally different - the Rebel TIE was a cheap support platform with unique upgrade potential, Imperial TIEs are swarms or have nasty fighting moves as little pocket aces.

Now it seems more like TIEs reward tight formation flying, while rebels generally offer longer range support.

Yes, this! I'm actually really curious if they gave a full makeover to the Z-95 and Y-Wing. Just how different _can_ they make these ships from the Rebel versions, while still being true to the craft itself?

I'm eager to find out!

That and FFG had to make sure that all those rebel players who bought those colorful ties are able to actually use them.

I wonder if we won't see any ships from the Rebels or Empire tossed in as salvaged or recommissioned craft. It might actually be a bit funny if they treated some Rebel ships like the Y-wing or the like the ARC-170 with only named pilots. I guess technically they already have Iden Versio flying an older T-65 in the Battlefront II's second part of the story mission while her daughter flew a T-70. If they did I bet it would be the only way to get her personal zappy droid as an astromech upgrade.

If they hadn't I guess that either the fighter would be lore ruled as being painted by the Star Destroyer's captain with the crew unable to challenge the matter or that it was painted up as some statement by someone in the Imperial Academy with an art major.

Why? I can't use my imperial firespray anymore? Why do rebels still get TIEs?

Mostly because if the Firespray was released later than it was it would have just been a Scum ship rather than an Imperial one. The Rebel's get their Tie since it has a different role that of a Support ship and because it was a Rebels tie in. I'd prefer they hadn't but it does provide something different other than a less good (pilot-wise) Firespray.

Let's just rename it to Sabine Wars - Sabine-Wing Miniatures Game.

Jedi & Sith are stuck using the regular old Force. Sabine uses Sabine's Force. It's similar, but she's really good at it, and it's got some colorful pizzazz: think neon pink and purple Force Lightning.

I'll be happy if this dies out completely. I'm sick of cross-faction ships.

We'll being not that long ago in a galaxy far far away I picked up HotR so I could finally use Rey and Fin and what not only to find that unless I want to start the Resistance faction I can't play 'em!
Lucky for me ARC's are rebels and that I have four B'wings that finally will (So I hope!) see standard play.

As for Sabine, now how the **** did she get enough Imperial TIE's to allow a squad of four?

Stop stealing our stuff ffs, it's bad enough every faction steals our gimmicks can you just not take all our ships aswell.
