But there will be a mix of tournaments, and i have a feeling in wave 1 scum is going to be extremely strong. both there wave one ships looks amazing. If you do not think Fett is going to do well against what is sure to be tie swarms (as imp only has 3 ships in wave 1) then i am not sure what to say. Not to mention the extreme damage output of Fen, scum should be extremely powerful for wave one.

Also i don't think fetts ability is outclassed by Luke and Vader, it always works is not reliant on having a bank of force tokens, you can use it multiple times every turn and never risk depleting it.

To be fair, Luke can use his ability multiple times per turn (on defense) without risk of depleting it as well.

BoShek could be a force user as well.

Fenn Rau was pure powercreep of Talonbane in 1.0 (That's why I refused to buy the Protectorate). Having Fenn in 2.0, I 'd guess we do not get Talonbane at all, or with a radically different pilot ability. They are too similar.

I hope they keep Victor Hel, he is really fun to fly.

For the Scyk I would really like if FFG keeps Sunny Bounder and Genesis Red.

For the Scyk I would really like if FFG keeps Sunny Bounder and Genesis Red .

As has been said about a million times on these forums, it's not power creep to make a new ship (or pilot) that's better than an old one that wasn't good in the first place. If talonbane had been a top tier competitive pilot and fenn rau came out and was massively better, THAT would be power creep. Fenn is just what talonbane SHOULD have been.

Agreed on Sunny though.

Fenn, Dalan M12, Talonbane, Guri, Jostero, Torani M12, Sycks, etc. We dont know whats good until we know more about the small base aces.

If you're aiming for the range 1 shots, you may well be better off with fearless. Changing a die to a hit is better than rerolling a die. Doesn't do anything for you at longer range of course.

fearlessness is a bit worse, though

I do expect primary arcs to probably be more common in 2e, though there'll still be plenty of mobile turrets around I'm sure.

This is as it should be, I think. Turreted ships shouldn't be made completely useless (who doesn't like the Millennium Falcon, after all?), but neither should they absolutely dominate non-turreted ships. I don't want to see any ship weakened to the point of uselessness; just brought into line so that other play styles can be just as viable.

Hmm. There will be a substantial amount of variance in the builds. It actually sounds like a really boring tournament. Hopefully wave 2 is announced and released soon.

I doubt we get a separate scum ywing reprint, so maybe it’ll be scum legal for wave 1 for scum too?

probably not if it's limited to wave 1 products (+ core) only

which it probably is since it's more new player friendly and pushes more sales of new stock

on the other hand, the Y would have to be pretty good to compete with what the fang and spray seem capable of

It's unlikely that they will be switched. There isn't many canon pilots in those things.
