Except Fett isnt a 9 (6 in 2.0) so he wont be as "premium" a cost.

Sure, he'll be expensive, but he wont be the most expensive. Technically the current firespray's only true issue is its just way overcosted. Compared to a ship about ~10pts less, it performs fine. Problem: 10pts less....

What really sucks is that in addition to not being able to go fast, they can't go SLOW either... Missing 1s, 5s and 3 hards on the same dial is rough. Kihraxz too...

They don't need one, but they are gonna feel pretty bad, because they don't have one.

That is one thing that always bugs me about some dials: they lack 5 and 1fwd.

Lacking a 1fwd generally means the ship is too fast to stabilize itself at that speed, lacking a 4/5fwd obviously means it isnt fast enough.

What sense of logic says it cant do either?

imo Scum dont need a force user, though im pretty sure they got a couple somewhere, they'll just have more dirty tricks than usual to compensate.

Each faction is supposed to have an identity, hopefully scum's identity is more than just junk and jank.

Um, this statement makes no sense in relation to the ship's current dial (plenty fast) and relating it to the iconic ships that are being brought back to the forefront in the game by FFG, ie. T-65s, TIE Advanced, getting better at positioning/flying etc.

...I need more tea, I'm quite sure.

Highest firespray yes, was just saying he's not inititaive 6, so he should be cheaper than a max initiative pilot would be.

Now I've managed to blot out a lot of the horrors of the prequels, but I'm petty sure things went fast enough back in those. They can't even catch up to an ARC!

if simply being the highest pilot for a specific ship meant you suddenly became bonkers expensive a lot of pilots are going to be sitting on the shelf.

Don't forget that as we know 2nd Ed now, Fenn Rau in the Fang Fighter is the only ship that can throw 5 dice without munitions. That alone will be a very powerful piece in a game that is expected to be scaled back in the power creep we had in 1st Ed.

True, but we do expect to see Asajj get some sort of Force ability, maybe she'll play a support role with her Lancer. And it was suggested that the Mist Hunter's Gand Findsman could have force abilities, as Findsman were force sensitive (although they refer to it as something else in the culture). And Zuckuss, a Gand Findsman himself, was similarly force sensitive - manifested in being able to find people.

I'm kind of expecting Asajj to get a forcified version of her 1e ability similar to luke and vader. Maybe she can spend 1 force charge to stress a ship in her mobile arc at range 1-2.

Exactly. The empire doesnt have highest ps/initiative large based turrets, like Scum and Rebels do. It's fine.

it's a statement of theme

the m3-a was an interceptor from the clone war era, it doesn't really hold up to the more "modern" interceptors of the OT (or the fang, which fills the same role in scum)

which is why they were mainly known for being great, cheap frames for putting really REALLY big guns on (hence Heavy Syck)

Imps didn't get exclusive slots or primary turrets, but we didn't feel too bad about it. Why? Because we had our own unique, fun ships like the Star Wing or TIE Defenders!

So Scum shouldn't feel bad just because they don't have high Force users! Instead, they should feel bad because they don't have Gunboats!

They said so in one or more of the many videos from the week after the announcement. Couldn't tell you which one at this point. Might have been team covenant.
