There will be 3 ships. Two of them can just be bought in two different colours. Imperial/First Order, Rebels/Resistance flavor. First Order/Resistance being the "I can't believe it's not butter" factions ![]()
So with 5 factions (Rebel,Empire,Scum,Resistance,FirstOrder) how does a typical wave look?

And guess what?
Sabine will be flying ALL of them ;D
This is slightly an aside, but when I was first back into X-Wing I was playing Scum only and my buddy was playing Empire only. We had the conversation about illicit tech and our conclusion was: every faction should be using illicit tech. We didn't want them to, we liked the way they were making each faction fell distinct. However, the rebels are breaking the law in fighting back - of course they're going to be using illicit tech or anything else to fight with. The Empire are willing to do anything to crush rebellion and quell coups, of course they'd use illicit tech - there's a SW Rebels episode where they find the empire is about to mass produce the T-7 Ion Disruptors which were outlawed after the Empire used them to disintegrate (they were kind of vague as to what they actually did) nearly an entire race of peoples.
What was my point? Ah, yes. FFG should stay the course, but it would be neat to have a format where you could move pilots onto different ships. Doubly if they could fly opposition ships. Sadly, it is infeasible. So nobody try to fease it, or complain that it's not being feased or should be feased. It would just be fun.
...I take back the first one: somebody please, please try to fease it. Create house rules. A lot of us would play it.![]()
