Well ok you are right on that. Now that you say it I'm wondering why I have been counting the blanks instead of doing the math. Not that the math is hard but the blanks seem faster.

Like Vader throws a Saber, scores 2 hits, Boba now rolls 5 dice, but Vader also auto pierces 3 of those, so he needs at least 4 results to block any damage.

It's not bad, it's just weird.

I agree with this though. On paper it can get confusing to write out the probabilities, but on the table you just have to follow through step by step without thinking and it isn't so hard

-how many hit/crit after dodge/cover? ok how much pierce you have? I roll that total of defense dice

-Pierce X cancels X blocks, then I compare hit/crit and blocks and suffere the damage

Just know that Impervious is indeed a halfway mark between normal and immune:pierce and play accordingly, but you can't count on it reliably for math wars(and Legion variance is quite swingy anyways)

I.e., you can have 4 blanks from a 2 damage pierce 2 shot like Lukes pistol, but those 4 blanks are only 2 damage.

Why would anyone clear the attack dice until the defense dice resolve? It’s not like it saves any time.

Hopefully TTS will have Boba soon? Anymore anecdotes about Boba? Tales from a Mos Eisely Cantina about him?

I think Boba is going to pair well with Veers: Drop Veer's 2 pip card Evasive Maneuvers for Boba's, and have Veers work with troops instead of vehicles. Maybe even drop Veer's 1 pip card in favor of Boba's.

Anyways, being able to drop Evasive Maneuvers with Veers will make him more infantry focused. Boba seems like he will throw out consistent damage (sharpshooter 1 and pierce 1 =1 hit on any unit, in any cover (w/o dodge), bar Vader/Luke, should be a wound), though not absurd amounts. 25% crit chance + impact 1 should have him decent against vehicles. And the native red die conversion seems pretty strong.

But mostly that mobility seems insane! Jump 2 and speed 3 will make Boba awesome at grabbing objectives, specifically the supplies lol. Just jetpack around scooping up the supplies haha.

I will be playing Boba for that jump pack alone :D.

I played two games with proxy boba (and han and leia proxies too). I must said that Boba is less tankier than looks in paper. In first game he went to kill han in order to gain the bounty vp... he died and han survive (awesome tactic here with the 2 pip han's card not allow boba to shoot him cause he already activated when boba came)

In the second game, Boba just kill leia, score the vp and run out of the combat to survive with only 1 wound left.

I think is so risky. 5 wounds only means that one bad roll put you in the line of dead unit and it happens. Only a full rebel unit with z6 can take half boba in a shot if average rolls don't happen. His damage is not that much without aim and when you come in range 2 to use both weapons you are in he middle of the fight, so perhaps he need a lot of timing.

I think the best use is kill the bounty commander and run for your life.

We are using the following:

-inmobilize tokens like ion tokens on troops but only affect move. (We notice that was not much effective in han cause he still shot twice and dodge and his defense + esteemed leader + 2pip card allow him survive all match but super effective against leia who was inmobilized out of range 1 of his friends and she died easily)

-vp point for bounty loses if boba dies.
