Aiming at specific item, like a weapon.

I think the rule for aiming at a specific item in combat is to increase the difficulty of the roll once?

Anyways, what happens if someone wants to aim their blaster shot at the target's weapon and it's successful? Does it just fall out of their hands? Does that weapon receive damage? How much damage? Any specific guidance in any of the books for that situation?

I think that per RAW, the only way to do that is with a regular check and either:

  • Using three advantage or a triumph to make the target drop the weapon.
  • Use Sunder as is described in its description.

It's the Aim Maneuver. Aim once it's 2 Setback to the check, Aim twice it's 1. Each hit adds a step the the amount of damage the item suffers. It could be increased spending additional pool results beyond just the hit, and obviously Sunder makes it even easier to cross off an item.

2 SETBACKS! I wasn't confident about how to do that. Thank you!
