Genesys vehicle rules and Specializations help

OK, we're going to be using an amalgam of the vehicle rules from Star Wars and Genesys. We've decided to switch out Tricky Target with Barrel Roll/Phil's Snap Roll but I'm hitting a block when trying to think of something to replace Full Stop (from Driver & Squadron Leader, IIRC).

For those that haven't looked at it yet, Genesys combined Accelerate, Punch It! and Full Stop into one maneuver. Basically, if you change your current speed by more than one you suffer strain. So in this respect Full Stop would become less than useless.

So, with that said, does anyone have any good ideas as to switch that Talent with? Any help would be appreciated.

Reduce the strain suffered when reducing speed by more than 1? Perhaps the strain suffered is n-3 instead of the usual n-1?

How about reduce the Strain cost of decelerating by ranks in Piloting?

So with 5 ranks you can go from speed 6 to stopped without suffering system strain? That’s decent, perhaps too powerful?

well, iirc, it's a 15 point for the squadron leader, but a 25 for the driver. So, I don't know, maybe. But with how easy it is to repair system stain, I've rarely seen ships run out or near it, so with that this might just mean one less round of repair. Just a thought. But I do like things that take a characters abilities in to account.

Perhaps it’s just worded:

When performing the decelerate manoeuvre you may reduce the speed of the vehicle by your ranks in the skill used to operate that vehicle without suffering any system strain. For each speed reduction beyond your skill ranks your vehicle suffers 1 system strain.

That sounds much better than what I have written.
