Dungeon questions

Ok, I have several questions about the dungeon (mostly cards). I have the German version so I also have some questions about the wording of the original version of the cards.

Magic portal (spell card): Do you have to use the portal, i.e. does it say can or may or what (German version unclear)?

Dungeon Keeper (dungeon card, stranger): Can you immediately buy back your own captured followers from him?

Hunchback (dungeon card, follower): Is it dicthed or discarded (discard pile) if you leave the dungeon?

Hall of Darkness (dungeon board space): Can you use teleport items or spells instead of rolling the die?

Dungeon Keeper: yes, even preferrable, since if you come back with new Followers, he'll take those as well I think

Hall of Darkness: I'd say you have to follow the space text for your next move (there might have been a clarification somewhere, not sure). FAQ mentions that Torch doesn't allow you to roll 2 dice when starting there.

At first I was thinking this was referring to the Cell space, not the Dungeon Keeper card, but that got me thinking about the Cell

It reads: Lose 1 Follower

You must leave on of your Followers in the Cell. If there are any Followers already here, you may take one of them with you.

So, if there are is a Follower already in the Cell, is it considered occupied? That's how we've been playing it, so you wouldn't have to leave another Follower there on top of the current occupant.

we havent encountered this much, but my opinion is that you do exactly what the space says. discard a follower when you land there ( one that you had b4 you landed in the cell ). you may also pick one up if you like and if there were any there when you landed on the cell.

Yep, it's a big Cell, it can take more than one Follower (since the picking up is a "may", if Hag is sitting in there...).

Big Cell, check. I think it's only come up once where someone landed there when there was already Followers.

how can the hag get there.

It says that the hag cant be discarded unless you visit a specific location and can't overrides everything?

If Hag is your only Follower (which she will be) and you land on Cell, you MUST put one Follower in the Cell. Thus Hag. You can't choose to rid yourself of the negative Followers (Hag, Jester, Poltergeist) voluntarily, but places like Chasm and Cell can see you get rid of them, since you have no choice in the matter.
