So what's next?

I would like to see Tauntaun and Dewback Riders as new support units.

Dewback are on the top of my list too. I think for mounted troopers, automatically being on alert could be very thematic.

I bet the regular squad will generally have the demolition charges while the small squad will get the sniper: better synergy

I agree, that's how I'll prob be running them.

Considering a second box, either for second sniper team or full squad. I like how these guys can hold their own without so much dependence on a commander.

Scarif Shoretrooper troopers and death troopers a must!! Also Director Krennic!

^----This.

Though I would also like to see the the Saber-Class assault tank, in either it's TX-130T or 2-M varients, enter the game.

I see an Imperial commander next, followed by Chewbacca as an operative. I would like to see mounted troopers (2-3 with more wounds), but support vehicles would be nice. I'm not sure if we will see more foot troopers next.

I think the next corps will be Naval fleet/ "Death star" troops for Imperials and then Hoth troopers for rebels since those will mirror what has currently been released / announced (rebel fleet troopers and Imperial snow troopers). Not sure Im a huge fan of naval and fleet troops in a ground combat game like this but we'll see how they end up playing out.

I think we can orientate us at IA. There is many stuff I’d like to get:

- royal guard

- r2d2/c3po

- e-Web

- bantha rider

- imp rider

- chewbacca

- wookie warriors

- emperor

and mich more ?

ia is lacking some vehicles but I hope we get more in legion. At the moment we have almost only infanterists ?

There's no reason every single one of your games can't take place on a space station or ship.

My predictions are Krennic for next imperial commander and Chewie for rebel operative. That will even things up nicely.

Next troopers to be Echo base troopers and imperial navy.

Next elites ?bothan spies or wookie warriors and death troopers.

Next vehicles are anyones guess, maybe T2-B repulser tank and TX-225 GAVw "Occupier".

I don't expect both Jyn and Cassadin to be operatives, as I'd imagine they would be designed with some synergy so they would be fielded together, thus having both of them PLUS another hero as a commander would be taxing. Maybe Jyn as commander and Cassadin as operative.

Id prefer Cassian as the Commander, he was in charge of the troops. Jyn as operative.

Oh my! I think I will laser cut up a ship interior board one of these days.

I've never seen a Snowspeeder fly through the corridors of a Star Destroyer.

I've never seen Snowtroopers on Scarif.

At least it's physically possible.

And you could just paint them to look like units that might fight there like Galactic Marines for example.

I have seen large hangers and space ships and AT-ST specifically fight in these hangars.

I would actually think it would be pretty cool to just have the Rogue One crew as a single unit troop, they fit pretty well. Jyn is the command leader, Baze is heavy, Cassian could provide the basic unit firearms stats, Chirrut the melee stats. K2 some bonus? But as your unit takes fire, wh do you kill, what stat can you spare. Something like that, where you fell every death. I love the Rogue One crew, but they are basically named grunts, so maybe Commander and operative slots are a bt to powerfull for them.

Wouldn’t be too surprised to se a rebel SF unit of wookie freedom fighters or similar alongside a Chewy operative.

A ream tanky unit of Troopers. Red melee. Crossbows with blast. 2hp and 3 courage.

No. but we have seen Fighters fly around inside large ships. In the very first movie we see that the Star Destroyer hanger is plenty large enough to house the Falcon with room for it to take off. In the most recent movie we see a hanger/assembly area thats big enough for walkers to run around in. In the movie before that we see a Tie Fighter flying around inside a Star Destroyer. So I'm not really seeing an issue. But of thats a deal breaker for you, you can decide to leave the Snowspeeder at home, right?

I thought Bothans were officially gone now?

RE: Fleet Troopers

It's entirely possible that Fleet Troopers, as a form of Naval infantry, could be deployed to Imperial or Rebel Naval bases, even planetside, as security personnel. This would be just like the US Air Force, which has it's own security forces and doesn't use Army personnel for guarding airbases.

Considering we see them wandering around Yavin 4, I'd say that you're right.

Surprised no one seems to have mentioned what seems like the most obvious Imperial commander of all.. The Emperor. No, he didn't engage directly in combat during the GCW, but as was stated above, you could have battles in a space station, etc.. His force powers would add a nice addition to Luke/Vader's powers. Given that there are not going to be a lot of options to add force users to the game in this era. Having him be a control commander like Veers handing out tokens and such at extreme range, while wielding force lightning as an attack seems very thematic and would be a lot of fun. And the obvious troop addition to put with him would be the royal guards.

I can see a Death Star hangar making an awesome board. I was just thinking about a board with corridors so my Fleet Troopers and Vader could face off Rogue One style. You could of course do it half half and say that the T47 can only fly around in the hangar.

Why would Bothans be gone?

They can’t be gone per se - they’re forever canonized by the dialogue of RotJ and how many died to bring the information.

However, it is true that Disney has extinguished what they look like, so I suppose in that sense we can’t get the ones we think of from EU without the Mouse recanonizing the look.

The only problem with this is they seem to be currently releasing expansions that mirror each other so that people don't have to buy cross faction to get the upgrades they want.

So if they're gonna release the emperor with a bunch of cool new powers they either have to break this rule or release a new rebel force user at the same time. Which wouldn't be too hard. If we look at what they did with IA they could do a ROTJ version of Luke or even obi wan. And if they decided to leave the original trilogy they could also do ahsoka.

A few weeks ago I saw a bunch of people talking about Disney asking their license holders to remove all Bothans from their products. I don't really know anything else about it.
