Birthday Cake Golem

By ectandberg, in Genesys

Hello!

I am running a birthday session for one of my players tomorrow. I have designed an encounter where they'll be battling this adorable cake golem. How would you go about statting this sort of Monster in Genesys? I'm thinking a high Brawn, certainly, but what about abilities? Maybe its health is somehow linked to its candles? I'm on a time frame, and am hoping to crowdsource a fun and interesting opponent.

Different but related question, what Genesys spell would be responsible for the creation of a golem? It's not really conjure if you're bestowing life on something. Augment?

How about an attack that spews frosting on a foe within short range, you could give it the ensnare quality and describe it as the frosting hardening! I'm also thinking something like that scene from beauty and the beast when Lumiere puts his thumb in his mouth and causes his head to flare up. Maybe it should have the grapler talent to represent it sticking to you. And maybe even something like a devour action and you have to break out of it's body. Cake eats you! Just shooting of whatever comes to mind here :)

Oh, no, it’s conjure for sure. Just because you’re animating something instead of creating it “out of nothing” doesn’t change the fact that the rules for conjure are designed to create an ally to fight with/for you.

I'll just leave this...

What a Cake Golem do?
