I imagine we would see Kanan or Ezra as Jedi on the battlefield before we would se Kyle Katarn though ?

Kyle should have:

Close Combat: Shock Baton

Bryar Blaster Pistol

3- 4 "Hardpoints" wich can be equipped with a selection of Blasters, Bowcasters and heavy weapons.

One Grenade Slot

Arsenal 2 or 3

For FFG it doesn't matter wether something is canon or not. They have the official permission to release Legends content. And they are willing to do it. The last two non-movie X-Wing waves had 4 Legends ships Out of 6 ships released.

The guys at FFG have shown that they are big fans of Legends.

Oh and, I think it was Hidalgo, had oficially stated that FFG products are intended to represent Disney Canon and Legends Canon equally to allow players to play in each timeline as they see fit.

Where’d ya hear this info? As an armada player I highly question every word in your paragraph. Armada hasn’t released any non canon material for a long time, most likely a decision made by Disney. X wing is unique in this and until a legends character is released in legion I am assuming the rule of armada applies to this game as well.

Give me Hondo or give me death.

Mara Jade just needs a cameo at this point.

Now what was all that talk of her showing up in Ep:9..?

Doesn't she technically still have one in Jabba's Palace?

I didn’t know she did at all - when/where was that?

NVM: should have Google it first. Yes, “technically” this hasn’t been invalidated by anything I am aware of in NuCanon by like so much of Legends, this should be allowed to die (without dignity).

A lot of it is that pretty much every character that appears in the movies had names and backstories

I could even imagine a Second Han Solo with operative status. Then you could run Leia, Luke as commanders and Han, Chewie as operatives in the same list.

I too would like the option to field characters as cheaper Operatives rather than full blown Commanders - but could see a problem with Command Cards - there doesn't seem to be anything that would stop you still selecting and playing Han command cards in your deck even if only fielding the Operative version.

(seeing as Boba has shown that Operatives will allow you to select that named character's card - but Boba's are already limited to himself only, whereas Han's aren't)

This leaves them needing to dilute the character's potency in order to reduce the cost but still offset the access to his cards (even though you couldn't count his proximity for who is eligible to receive orders, or for panic checks)

Although, if they ever introduce the ST era, Aged Han could be an Operative (but that's probably not really achieving what you initially suggested)
