Dash's ability isn't "during the activation phase" anymore, it's while you move. So you can't barrel roll onto rocks at all now. If you're ON a rock, you can barrel roll off, but only as long as the template doesn't overlap part of the rock in te process (which it's a lot more likely to when the template has to go in the center of the ship).

They confirmed in voiceover that whilst you move includes repositioning actions.

The Outrider title itself was never shown. I doubt they have eliminated the title completely.

Its built into the ship... unless its something completely different that only shares the similarity in that its called "outrider" it's gone.

Well, there is the thread titled “All Screenshots from Unboxing” that has been sitting in the top 5 threads on the front page for the past 2 hours.

My phone doesn't show the page well, I didn't see it.

So many ships, utterly, utterly ruined. A sad, sad day for x-wing. Player base is now split between 1.0 casual and 2.0 tournament players.

amen

the polish spoiler for Luke would constitute the most boneheaded decision by FFG since the inception of the PWT

probably even worse given they already know how ******* stupid it is and are repeating the mistake

Nice to see you here, 2015 FGD.

I go where I'm needed

could not have imagined that'd ever happen again after the 2.0 announcement specifically and perfectly addressed this dang turret problem ?

3-dice + focus + evade + autothrusters was a hard-counter to Dash anyway, he could never break through that. Now you actually have to out-fly the Dash player rather than just bring a bunch of upgrades that brick wall him regardless. They've made it significantly easier for generics to outfly Dash now. If you rush Dash to get close range, and force him to Barrel Roll away, that makes it easier to block him next turn. If he decides to sit and trade at range 1, your ships now have a significant jousting advantage even if they're still in arc.

I think that's a big selling point for 2.0, either you outfly your opponent, or you don't get to rely on easy-mode token stacking to carry you through a game.

Agreed. The game is back to dog fighting - dials matter far more.

They’ll just make Luke 35 points if it’s a problem. So it’s not a problem.

that's still a problem, because then they'd've wasted time making luke

all they really have to do is contradict the polish spoilers and reveal that Luke spins your mobile arc around during the end phase or beginning of system phase, rather than beginning of combat

I just want to point out a huge let down with regards to subtitles.

After the fantastic job FFG did with the IG-88's, The Grand Inquisitor's subtitle is a disappointingly boring Master of the Inquisitors, while the possibilities were endless: Unexpected threat, Ruthless devout, Fearsome surprise...

That’s just for the Spanish version of the card.

I want to see it in English to make sure it's not "rotate arc action" because that would mean you can't have done a red move or red action beforehand either.

Something completely different is my guess. (I saw what they built into the ship.)

It is like the ‘user friendly ‘ version of X-Wing.

what ships are ruined for you? and why?

Very curious what people do and don't like, for you it sounds like allot so i would love that insight.

Something I really like for the turrets is the duel turret arcs (YT-2400 & YT-1300) and the single arcs (Jumpmaster & HWK-290.)

Then additionally ships with a forward arc + single mobile arc (Shadowcaster, moldy crow hwk).

Though I'm kind of sad there's no double arc ship for scum atm. That'll presumably change if we get a scum falcon from Solo

we got one

it's called the firespray

it just doesn't rotate because it's too badass to need to

Double rotating arc. For 2 arcs we have the shadowcaster and hwk as well (point em to the back and it's a similar effect to the firespray, just 1 less attack die out the rear).

why waste time rotating the arc when you could rotate the ship?

it's a brave new world out there, my friends

I do really like that title. Course, it has to compete with marauder now...

Advanced sensors doesn’t work with linked actions. It lets you do an action and says you can’t perform anymore during your activation, so no linking.

Don't get me wrong, that's probably how. And while I know previews always have mistakes, they were saying AdvS was going to work well with Vader. Which is kinda... how? Unless it does work. Thus: it needs a clarity-FAQ. Because it wouldn't be FFG if there wasn't something that needed clarification already.

I don't see how you need any clarification on "If you do, you cannot perform another action during your activation".

so versatility is only limited to how little a ship costs? there are no other variables to making a ship more useable than they were in 1.0?

You're literally trying to tell me that a *4 Attack Primary* ship might be more versatile (that is, do more odd stuff other than deal damage) than the older version, with the cheapness of a *2 Attack Primary*, and now with a red instead of white barrel roll. That doesn't pass the sniff test. AT ALL. Does it make the YT-2400 a stronger, more powerful ship for winning tournament games? Almost surely. Is there going to be something lost in terms of a quirky little oddball that did strange stuff but wasn't winning all that much? Almost surely.
