For those interested in the Quick Build cards, FFG OP stated there will be official events (with prize support) for games played with the Quick Builds. So, if you don't buy new blisters you will only be able to Quick Build what comes in the Starter Set.
Conversion Kit Unboxing on 5/18
to get away from the idiocy of gunner luke and back to optimism, time for imperial bias!
might have to pick up imperial box first, they just look incredibly fun
also, very importantly, stream confirmed you can't stack force generation (always get 1 force back per pilot per turn, stuff like Luke excepted). so we can't OP things by stacking force upgrades, thank the force
anyway, look at this beautiful bastard

badass guaranteed damage, dovetails really well with Reaper jam
also "firing arc" rather than printed primary arc implies your VT-49 (vader-mator) is in for a good time

It's better than HLC if you want an HLC/Outrider for your YT-2400. It's limiting if you didn't want HLC. Skipping the cannon, or only skipping the title, was an interesting thing to do with a 2400 in 1E. A nimble ship with a barrel roll and a large base is pretty cool. Eaden Vrill didn't need a cannon in the right list. It wasn't the most powerful or popular ship, but that option is certainly gone now. With the 4-dice primary, it'll have a Falcon-like price, rather than being cheap. It'll be better at doing damage things, but have fewer options.

That wasn't the question.
We had as many choices as we had Cannon upgrades in 1.0 (despite most of them being ****, but that could be something to work on for 2.0) and now we're stuck with only one choice, the 4 dice attack.

And now the B-wing got its shields nerfed, basically the same dial. Not what I was expecting for that ship

Making enemies at the HotAC table.
or triggering DMS at an inopportune time.

It might still be costed more appropriately.
Bu yeah, what use are the 1-Talons if there's no optional long K.

Almost everything got its shields nerfed.

After upgrades, obviously. A lightly-built, no-crew Whisper is 39 points, which could have been a different ace with a missile, while in bad matchups the Phantom is a massive liability. A cheaper Whisper or Echo, if only 3 red dice, but comparable in price to the Inquisitor would be a lot easier to fit into a list, and probably be a lot better as a result. Imagine if you could fly Yorr, Whisper, and Quickdraw (even if only a lighter, 34 point QD). I'd certainly give up a red die for that.
Say, a 1E title which gave... -3 points, -1 point per upgrade, and did the stat switch.
Yorr and Whisper, sure, but get your Empire cosplayer FO fanboys out of that list.
Separate factions now

Right now, the only use of him is to show that Rebel Astromechs and Scum Astromechs just use the Astromech slot. No need to make an entirely new slot when you can just faction-limit the upgrades. Yet another advantage of rebuilding into a second edition.

1 talons might actually let you turn around if you're touching a large base ship (depending on that ships orientation)

Didn't realize they spoiled the point costs for these in the stream, oh wait, they didn't. we have no idea how this will change the point cost of the ship, for all we know this will cost close to vrill if you take the generic with you just not needing the stress for your hard attack. also means that if it still has a cannon slot you can use a different one if you want and the possibility that the title will do something new and interesting.
also just realized dash is 5 initiative, awesome only the top pilots out fly him

Linked action Barrel Roll pretty sweet. Much better at jockeying for position on the approach.

Well, I was mostly trying to make an example of how it'd function in 1E with the new stat line if it had a lower price.
But yeah.
Yorr/Whisper/TGI, how about?

Still got an awful dial for clearing that stress after that.
Now the wait for point costs so people can proper rage! Yay Vader and defenders! BOOO Falcon. Scum, eh ok. Pretty much all I got out of this till costs hit.
Yeah costs will make or break... literally everything
But you can sort of see how things will play now
Punisher in particular looks like a ton of fun, and Vader makes the new deci look enticing

We don't know what the upgrade bar is going to look like for it yet.
It's biggest strength is probably that Focus>Barrel Roll linked action that basically gives every pilot PTL. That will help it be a more dodgy knife-fighter in a range-1 brawl.

There's no way that a 4-dice primary turret (2E turret...) ship is going to be anywhere as cheap it used to be.
Use some common sense.
4/2/6/4, even with the die subtraction at range 0-1, isn't a dramatically worse stat-line than a 3/1/8/5. I'd say they're fairly comparable, and both the ships have some sort of red reposition action. They'll surely be a lot closer in price than the current Resistance Sympathizer and Wild Space Fringer.

The new deci looks exciting... Now that we maybe have some worthwhile crew, and a less suicidal vader... it is well complimented by the new abilities.

Spoilers already confirmed worthwhile crew AND less suicidal Vader
At the same time, no less

If there's a ship with the ability to have it and Tractor Beam, moving your own ships in the combat phase could be super useful.
Anyone else keep hearing that BWOOOONG sound from Inception when they look at the defender card and dial?
A new decimator sculpt with this vader would make my christmas.
