It averages to 5.5 damage with pierce 1 from range 2 with a full unit. You could certainly throw grenades in there as well if you really want to close.

Think about trying to charge a unit with a flame trooper into a couple units of that on standby.

That would almost certainly be a severely wounded unit, if not a dead one.

Because as a flame projector it makes sense to it to remove cover even if a future ability may negate sharpshooter, it is different from the other weapons in also having spray. So this future proofs any such interference from other rules that may even already exist although remain unpublished.

What I'm hoping for (and I'm sure it won't happen), is that the other side of his command dial, the pattern is... neither faction.

I know he's usually lumped in with Imps, but really, he's a working joe. He's trying to make an honest living. There is no reason why he would be anti-rebel; clearly, he works for the money, he works hard for the money and we'd better treat him right.

They've been saying that if Boba was made for a modern X-Wing, he wouldn't be Imperial. Why is this different.

I'm hoping one of the face down cards is something like:

Paid in Full - take up a slot, and work as an operative for any faction. Can't receive orders from those commanders.

Or something like that.

I know, not gonna happen. Tell him he's dreaming, all of it. I can still hope.

Yep.. and for me, I have 2 of everything (core included, minus extras of commanders expansions) plus 1 more of all troopers and supports. PLUS over $700 in terrain from Imperial Terrain. I know I don't have to buy it, I can make it, but it's so **** awesome looking!

It works in Xwing because you use just a couple of them, like when Dengaroo was a thing. A couple of bounty hunters out doing their thing.

For factions, I'd rather have the separatists, or wookies, or other iconic races that would make sense to fight the good fight. Let the bounty hunters come in an out of various factions.

I'm probably a little late to this comment, but Legion is a platoon sized game. Why is it unreasonable for "scum" to have a platoon sized unit with some swoop bikes and some scrounged armor units of some sort? Luke/Han/Leia/Lando probably mowed through 800 points of stuff easy on the Sail barge.

I wasn't necessarily saying it's unreasonable; I just couldn't see it as easy as other races/factions.

I could see the wookies banding together to protect themselves. A mandalorian faction led by Boba, Sabine, Countess makes sense as well.

For your barge scenario, the hutts wouldn't be bad. A commander of Jabba and all of his minions/pigs/etc.

I don't know, was just thinking out loud.

Sure, but looking at all the objective cards, you could see a band of scummy pirates trying to accomplish those just as easily as Imps or Rebels.

Pirates and Rebels race against time to recover lost supplies...

Imps raiding a pirate base, pirates need to escape before the imperials get to thier base

Pirate bands are very much a thing in SW...Scum totally works as a faction thematically. Considering the dedication they seem to be paying to the original movies to this point, I think some sort of Scum faction is the best bet for the next announced.

Agreed. And just because Boba is out doesn't preclude him from being a Scum option. Nor would it preclude any other bounty hunter (Bossk, IG-88, etc.) from being an option if they are introduced prior to the game branching into other factions.

Imagine a "Scum Army Box"; very similar to the RWM sets. Box costs $60 and contains a Commander (Jabba), Corps units (Weequay and Nikto pirates), and a Support unit (Swoop riders). Also included are Scum conversion pieces for the previously released Operatives that can fit the Scum theme. All that would be needed is a new Scum deployment card and an order token because the command cards are already "neutral" by nature (the backs are all the same regardless of faction and there's no faction icon printed on the front). Simple and easy way to get the Scum faction up to speed with options without bloating the release schedule.

I accept the idea of Pirate bands, and the I agree that the Rebel Alliance is really a larger Pirate/Organised Crime group (slightly better resourced and with a mission statement). On accepting that, I see that one successful way of including our favourite Bounty Hunters is by using the Operative keyword.

Let us assume that Operatives are factionless, and as a rule, every army can take two Operatives.

Even Lando famously worked with the Empire, however so briefly; and at least in comic form and some original story telling, Boba Fett worked with the Alliance as required.

I accept that the primary game mechanic concern would be then that two friends playing a game using the same operative on both sides. However the same is true for two players using Empire armies and each playing Vader and Veers.

Finally, I don't want as a commander in the game, I can't imagine him on a battlefield. Behind the scenes - Yes, on the battlefield - No.

***Edit - Yes, I was talking about Jabba. As in the Hutt, not Ezra pretending. Jabba the Hutt.
