Special ability question

By Nephilim2, in Runewars

Ok, the faq explains you have to fulfil the condition of a special card so he fulfills as much as possible. What if you can't fulfill it does it; disregard the special ability?

I'll give an example: If you attack a Dragon with 4 rectangular troops and the dragon can do his special ability during combat (destroy 3 triangular units I believe)?

if the special ability has no valid target (no triangles for dragon breath) then no triangles are destroyed

+1 mateoo. You must fulfill the ability as much as possible. If you can't fulfill anything despite your best efforts, then nothing happens.

sorta sucks how sometimes you would rather have a wound then a special ability... but thats how it is.

This is important, too. If the opposing army only had 2 Triangles, the Dragon would still kill them. You resolve it as much as possible, but if you can't do it all for whatever reason, it doesn't completely void it.
