So Happy Friday indeed good people of the forum.
Without looking - What came first the CR-90 or the VSD?
Cheerio.

Both came in the Core Set? I don’t get it. But the CR90, because it was in Ep. III and the VSD would have likely been created after the Empire. Better?
Edited by Admiral CalkinsLore-wise it’s definitely the CR-90... The VSD was developed and fielded late in the Clone Wars, while the CR-90 was already in use.
In Episode IV, the old Tantive IV (CR90) is tractor-beamed into the cloaka of the modern Devastator (ISD I). It's no longer there when Vader's ship arrives at the Death Star...
Perhaps the (already old) egg also entered the (brand-new) chicken before it left it for the first time... I daresay...
The CR90, because the Rebel player was able to save so many points by switching to Galifreyco that they could afford a steeper bid for first player.
CR90s were used before the Clone Wars. VSD is a design based on the Acclamator but with better weaponry and less emphasis on its carrier capabilities.
Depends on which side of the box faced forward when the first box left the factory!

Happy Friday!
The CR90 came first in every aspect except concept art, I think. I'm pretty sure the CR90 was developed late in the game, based on the original Falcon design. The design we know now as the VSD was part of the development of the ISD. In classic Star Wars tradition, all the concept art gets used eventually.
